First Big Trip

Thursday morning at 9:00 we loaded the truck and headed on our first big trip with Macie. We thought for sure we would have to stop in Red Deer to feed her but my wonderful daughter made it all the way from Kitscoty to Airdire without waking up once. We stopped in Airdrie for a quick visit with my sister-in-law and Lifelong friend Kimberlee Martin, she just had her 3rd baby 8 months ago. It was fun to visit with them and see how things are going in there life. We then of course had to hit up cross iron mills mall and do a little bit of clothes shopping for Macie. Then headed to my sister Keltie's house for another quick visit. We slept there for the night and then headed for Lethbridge Friday afternoon. We got to Lethbridge around 4:30 and Macie was a gem again and slept the whole way there. We spent the evening with our Best Friends the Harkers who ditched us and moved to Lethbridge we miss them constantly but our glad if they moved anywhere it was Lethbridge as we will see them often there. We had a delicious meal provided by the Harkers and then headed out for desert for Mark's birthday we were going to hit up this fancy restaurant but it was to long of a wait so we dinned at DQ for some blizzards and peanut buster parfaits. We finished off the night with some fun games and then headed to bed. Mark and Matt got up nice and early and headed out for a day of snowboarding they stopped in Cardston to pick up Hakon (Mark's life long friend). It sounded like they had a blast but are pretty soar after using muscles they have not used in a while. Royall and I got to spend the day visiting and catching up. We visited an awesome pet store and hooked up Molly and Lily with some treats and toys as we promised them for ditching them in Lloydminster with my brother. Then Royall made some delicious soup for lunch, we had a quick nap then headed to Henderson for a walk. After all the fun of our day we had to part and go our own ways. Mark and I then headed to the UofL Basketball game. Macie was so good and loved watching the game. I also ran into my old boss from Quizno's (Mike Selk) at the basketball game it was so nice running into him and catching up. We always run into somebody when we head south to visit family. After the game I went down on the court and shoot some hoops with my nieces and nephews, I have not shoot a basketball in over a year it was so nice to shoot and dribble a ball again. Sunday we then headed for another quick visit to see Mark's mom and sister and her kids. We went to sacrament with Mark's mom then headed to her house for some lunch and visiting. Then stopped in for a quick visit at the Skoien's. We then ended out trip with hanging out with the Halls and having another delicious meal. We decided to leave that night at 11:00 and drive through the night as Macie is such a good night sleeper we thought she might make it all the way, with about an hour in a half left she woke up wanting some dinner, almost made it. I topped her up then we headed for our final stretch home. It was such a wonderful weekend of visiting friends and family. Macie was so good which made for such a pleasant trip.
