Well dad explained how it worked and did a rip around the yard then let Wade give it a go. And boy did he go, faster and faster and straight into the fence. Yikes. There was some serious wailing from Wade as his head hit the fence and the bike laid on him. It was a combination of fear and pain. That equals very loud screams. Mom was panicking big time crying so with all this craziness Kansas joined in the crying. Our back yard sounded like a Spanish Inquisition.
After much crying Wade came back to his senses. He had a huge bump on his forehead and some cuts on his cheek and chin. He had received his first concussion. No broken bones.
From what I can tell only minor bruising.
His bike on the other hand has some damage. The front forks where bent back toward the engine which damaged the spark plug and the front rim got bent.
Needless to say we went and got helmets before anymore rides could happen.
Wade took some time to get back on his bike but finally did it and is doing really well. Macie is a champ on her bike. Looking to go faster and faster.
