MY POUCHES!!!

So I love my two dogs more than anything. They make me so happy, and fill that void of not having children. They keep me happy, busy, active. I never thought an animal could make me feel so good. My favorite thing is in the morning when Mark leaves for work I usually have another whole hour of sleep, because there is more room in the bed you would think the pouches would sproull all out, but no not my Lily and Molly. Especially Lily she comes and snuggles right into my arms as close as she can get. Molly always snuggles into my side. It makes my hour of sleep less comfy, but at the same time makes it the hardest thing to get up in the morning and leave those adorable puppies.

My other favorite thing is we have this toy that is meant for a cat, it is a fish that is on a string and the string is hooked to a pole. Whenever we pull it out our dogs go nuts, they will chase that thing for hours if we would let them. They are so tired and panting like crazy but will not stop playing. Once we are done and put the toy away they try everything in there power to get it down and play with it some more.

I don't think I could ask for two more adorable friends, and am so glad I did not have the will power to say no to buying Lily when we bought her. Even though she way way to much money. She was so worth it.

ONE OF THE BEST WEEKS OF MY LIFE!!!!

So this week has been amazing. I thought it was going to be crazy and stressful, but it turns out it has been one of the best weeks of my life. I wrote my Mid-Term on Sunday, I felt I did decent, not amazing though. I got my mark back the other day and I got 80%. I was so thrilled as the class average was 68%. Then Monday I got my braces and everything went really well. My mouth is a little sore, but because I can hardly eat anything I have lost like 5 pounds in one week. I have also been so good at keeping up with my goals. I have been reading everyday. I finished the Pearl of Great Price the other day and am now in the 5th chapter of Genesis. I have run almost everynight these past two weeks. My body feels so amazing. I have so much more energy, strength, and I can fit into pants I have not fit into in like 2 years. Okay then to top of my amazing week, yesterday Mark, myself and some friend of ours went into Edmonton. I had to write my Mock Nacor, I could not believe how many year two students did not take advantage of this mock test. There was 4 people there in total, two who had failed the real Nacor and myself and one other year two student. Anyways the test is set up the same way as my real Nacor in June, and you have to get a 63% to pass, well I got 86%. I was so thrilled. Then after my test us and the Harkers went and did some Snowboarding, it was my first time and I loved it, I fell a lot and am pretty soar today but it was so worth it. What an amazing week, and all I have to say to end my Blog today is that with God all things are possible.

I also thought I would post some pictures from Christmas so enjoy

RESOLUTIONS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!

So this year I have decided to make a lot of resolutions, but I don't know if you can say they are resolutions, I would say they are more or less improvements on my imperfect life, to try and perfect it better, and draw closer to my savior myself and my husband. So hear goes the big long list.
1. Read from the Old Testament, a chapter a day. This is a goal that our Branch Presidency has challanged us to do.
2. Mark and myself made a goal to finish the Book of Mormon before the end of this year, we started in December and have been pretty good, so I hope to continue with this one.
3. Graduate from school and pass my NACOR.
4. I love this next goal, because I think it is probably the most common goal that people make every year, I also wonder how many times it is not fulfilled, but for goal number 4 this year of course like so many others will try to do this year is to get in better shape. Our another way of putting it is loose weight. I don't think I am going to put an amount buy it this year, I think all I am going to say, is to get myself to a point that I feel so healhty, and happy and good about my self, that if I wanted to go for an hour long run I would not have to take a month to work up to it, I can just go and do it. If Mark and I want to go for a 50KM bike ride we can, and I will have the energy to do it. I just want to be healthy and feel healthy, I don't even care about being super skinny, just healthy and strong and to feel good about myself.

I would have to say that these are the big goals for the year, then I decided to make a bunch of little goals to help accomplish the Big ones.
1. wake up every morning no latter than 7:00, read my one chapter from the Old Testament and then go for a run or walk outside or on our treadmill.
2. one of the bigger and harder ones I am going to set is to watch no more than 10 movies this whole year, that includes new or old. I am going to make myself a cute jar and everytime I go to a movie or watch one at home I pull out something , and once that jar is empty, no more movie watching for the year, I am hoping that I can make is so unimportant that by the end of the year there are still things in the jar.
3. Mark and I have no cable and we were thinking of putting it back on in February for the Olympics, but I have decided to change my mind, no cable and no TV for the whole year, less time watching TV equals more time to exercise, read, study and spend quality time with my hubby.
4. Go on at least one temple trip with my hubby every other month, or every month if possible.
5. Another goal Mark and I have is to get ourselves completely dept free this year, except for our Mortgage, we do not have a ton of debt, but we feel life would be easier, if we were to ever be blessed enough to have a family, if the only debt we had was a mortgage payment. We also hope to get our basement developed and put quit a bit of money away in savings.

Well I could probably go on and on with goals and commitments I could make to better myself this year but I think this is a good start. I am hoping writing them on my blog will motivate me more, I will see them lots as I come on my blog often as well I find if I tell others my goals the more likely I am to do them. So wish me luck and if you see me ask me how they are coming to help keep me motivated.

A NEW YEAR!!!

We'll it is the start of a New Year and I can not believe how much is happening in just this month.
I write my midterm on the 10th, I get braces on the 11th, I write my Mock NACOR on the 16th. So much is happening this year and I don't even know where to start. Study, workout, find a place for the Optician that is going to becoming and working for us in February. Oh yeah I don't think I have mentioned him yet. In February a gentlemen from Saudi Arabia that is an Optometrist is coming and working for me. He got his Optometrist license in Saudi Arabia and they do not recognize his schooling here in Canada, but he challenged the NACOR for being a Licensed Optician and he passed, so he is going to be living with us for probably about two weeks, while we find a place for him to live. AHHHHH so crazy, I guess I should probably start studying and stop making blog posts.

CONFESSION TIME

Okay it is time for a confession. I love playing with my BLOG!! I think I change the background once a week. I have come up with an excuse though, it is a bad one, but one none the less. I am on my computer almost everyday studying for school and I like to go and open my blog because I can listen to my music. We'll once I get bored of studying and since we have no cable right now I get playing around with my BLOG. I love going and checking out the backgrounds and finding which one I like the best. So I am sorry if you get sick of my background changing all the time but it is just so much fun, definitely better then studying.

I love posting pics so as it is Christmas time I thought I would post one of Mine and Mark's first Christmas Together.

ANNOYING!!!

So I have been trying to upload some fun pictures on my blog and nothing will work. It is very annoying and it better fix soon. On a more positive note I got my Snowboard the other day and I am so pumped to use it. I am also getting so pumped for Christmas. I love Christmas so much, it is without a doubt my favorite time of year, and this year my parents are coming to celebrate it with us. I must say with all the craziness going on at work, life is still pretty good. I am so blessed and sometimes don't realize it. I have a wonderful family, the sweetest puppies in the world, a beautiful house to live in, Clothes on my back and food in my belly, and most of all an amazing husband who I love so much. This is why I love Christmas time it puts things into perspective when we are complaining about such little things. Tonight is my Mark's work Christmas party and I can't wait to go have a blast and just take some time to enjoy life.

A LITTLE UPDATE

Well things in my life have been going good, bad, crazy, exciting, and so much more. I started my new job about 2 1/2 weeks ago, the day I started I found out that the girl I was going to be working with, not to mention she is the Licensed Optician was leaving and moving back to Saskatoon. That put my life in a whirlwind. Technically you can not run an Optical without there being a Licensed Optician, so my head honcho is now going to have to fly people in every week to come and work with me until I am Licensed at the end of June. These past two weeks have been so stressful, because not only do I now have to learn everything myself I have so much stress on me to pass my NACOR. I can not just think if I don't pass I can write again in January, no I absolutely have to pass. My Heavenly Father likes to watch over me though, because two things happened with my schooling this year that they have not done in the past. 1. They are letting us take our formulas into our test and 2. You can pay $40 and write a mock NACOR exam in January to prepare you for the June test. Those were the two things I was stressing about the most school wise, the exam and remembering the ten million formulas there are. So there is the good, the bad and the crazy. The exciting things happening our I have been getting awesome marks on all of my school work, Mark and I have been working hard at our tri-athalon things lately. I have not noticed a weight loss difference, but I feel so good, we have been swimming 30 laps about every 3 days. I have been walking every morning for about a hour and Mark has been running almost every night. Also that Snowboard I posted on my Christmas Wish List Blog went on sell from almost $600 dollars to $179 plust shipping so I bought it. Mark and I are so exited to go snowboarding this year with our great friends the Harkers how were the one's that found my board on sell. thank you very much. Wow anyways this Blog is getting long but just wanted to do a little update for everybody.

HALLOWEEN FUN!!!!

SO I TRY AND BE CRAFTY IN MY LIFE, BUT THERE IS OTHER NOT ENOUGH TIME, COSTS TOO MUCH MONEY, OR I AM JUST TOO LAZY. I THINK THE BIGGEST REASON IS THE MONEY, NOT THAT I DON'T HAVE IT JUST I CAN NOT JUSTIFY SPENDING A HUNDRED DOLLARS ON SOMETHING THAT WILL USUALLY BE THROWN OUT OR EATEN. SCRAPBOOKING IS THE ONE THING I WOULD SPEND THE MONEY ON BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE IT FOREVER, BUT I AM NOT THAT TALENTED AT IT SO ONCE AGAIN I CAN'T JUSTIFY IT. THE OTHER NIGHT THOUGH WELL GETTING ON THE INTERNET TO CHECK MY E-MAILS I SAW THIS COOL TREAT AND THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE SUPER EASY TO MAKE AND PROBABLY PRETTY CHEAP. SO TONIGHT I DECIDED TO MAKE THEM SO THEY WOULD BE READY FOR HALLOWEEN NIGHT, AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT AS CUTE AS THE PICTURE ON THE INTERNET, I THINK THEY TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD FOR THE FIRST TRY. I THINK I WILL MAKE THEM AGAIN NEXT YEAR, AND THEY WILL BE PERFECTION.
