CLIMB OF HOPE!!!!

I finally found a marathon to run, as I was chocked out of my Magrath Tri-Athalon. I have been perusing the internet lately trying to find one in August or September that is not on a Sunday or a weekend I work and I could not find one anywhere. Well today I was finally successful. I am actually really looking forward to it because it is a charity one so I have to go and raise money for it, which is always a good cause. So time to hit the pavement and maybe know I can convince my husband to buy me new runners.

SOMETHING NEW!!!

So my something new, different, exciting goal is going great. I am almost 100% successful, and if there has been a day that I have not done something it is because I have been to busy, which is a good thing because that was the point to the goal in the first place. Get Busy and Get Active. Some of the highlights included, going and playing in the rain, sleeping under the stars on our deck, making friends with a girl at work that I never thought I would get along with. These coming up weeks are going to be full of I think even better ones. Going and getting a membership at the Kitscoty Library, doing a 8 km run, visiting family in barhead, and hopefully try wakeboarding. If anybody out there is board with there life right now give this a shot, it is so much fun, I have found interests I never knew I had and for the most part have kept my life pretty busy these past couple of weeks.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Yay 6 years today. I can't believe how fast time flies, What is even funnier is how at every anniversary I say this. I guess I just have to realize that life is only speeding up and not slowing down.

I have to say they have been 6 wonderful, crazy, exciting, challenging years, and I would not want to share them with anybody else but Mark.

I thought it would be fun to remember some of those moments.

Year 1. Went on Honeymoon to Mexico, moved to Lloydminster after 9 months of marriage, traded in my neon for a Jeep. Found out that living with relatives is never a good idea.

Year 2. Bought a 2005 cobalt, and a 1 lb cobalt ( this cobalt is our cat the other cobalt is our car), went to visit my parents on there mission for Christmas.

Year 3. Mark got a Job with Devon, Bought our first house, got in a crazy accident on the highway and totaled our Jeep, also bought our sweat, adorable Lily.

Year 4. Went on a trip to California, bought our 2nd house (which we currently still live in), bought Molly.

Year 5. Went on a trip to Colorado, bought our truck, put a deck and hot tub off of our bedroom, and did not buy any pets.

Year 6. Went on a trip to Florida, both finished some schooling, had my appendix removed, and again did not buy any pets.

Year 7. Hopefully get pregnant, find out I passed my schooling, finish our basement, and again go another successful year without buying any pets.

FOREVER YOUNG!!!

On Monday we were graced with one of the craziest rainstorms ever. It just kept raining and raining and raining. However even with all the wind, rain, and hail it was still pretty warm outside.
So with there being no power on in the house, and two people bored to tears, what did we do to make us happy, go play in the rain and jump in puddles. Who knew a couple of garbage bags and a lot of rain could make for such a fun night.

Today Mark and I went to my favorite restaurant in town Tasty K's. It is this wonderful Donair cafe that this sweet family in Lloydminster started. It is so delicious every bite just makes your mouth water. Since my surgery we have not been able to go, but today we decided that I deserved a special treat and of course I thought of no better place than Tasty K's to do this.

1 Jumbo Donair with chesse
1 Regular Donair without cheese
1 giant cookie
1 bowl of Potato and Bacon soup
1 bottle of Dasani water
1 bottle of Apple Juice
= a grand total of

and worth every penny.

If you ever come to Lloydminster or live in Lloydminster and have not tried this heavenly place you must go now, because your are missing out terribly.

TENT TRAILER!!!!!!

We almost bought one 2 months ago, but were strong and realized we need to pay off our Hot Tub first, but once again as it is an absolutely beautiful day that desire has come back. I even found a really nice one on Kijiji that is very reasonably priced. So I ask myself can that justify it, probably not. Hopefully next year though once the hot tub is all payed off.

TWELVE!!!!!!

Crazy I could not believe it myself, I thought the total count was going to be 10 with the pair I just bought. The thing that sucks now is I went for an eye exam the other day and my RX almost doubled. So I currently only have one pair of glasses with my correct prescription in it. It will cost me $1000 dollars to change all the lenses, so because our health care spending account is all used up for the year, it looks like I have to go the rest of the year with only one pair of glasses.
