5 Years and Counting

Last month I received my 5 year award for working at Devon. There have been many ups and downs but working at Devon has provided a very good life for our little family. Here's to the next 5 years, may they be successful and fulfilling. Thank- you Devon for taking a chance on an unknown kid.

WORST FEELING EVER!!!!

Combine a pregnant lady, that has to pee and a sticky wet tighter then usual bathing suit, what does that equal the closest call I have had yet. On a positive note since being put on light duty from my doc Wednesday nights are the only thing I look forward to right now as I go swim laps at the pool. My only form of exercise besides the odd casual walk in the past 4 weeks, and tonight I got in 50 laps. The most I have ever done.  It felt amazing and I could feel some of those endorphins I get from running. It made me want to come home and hop on that treadmill. Soon Kalinda Soon. 3 weeks tomorrow and I have my 13 week ultrasound. It can't come soon enough.

SLEDDING DADDY STYLE!

After her first slide she just wanted to go back for more and more. That is why dad's are so great they think of the funnest things to do.

M=4, B=1

What is that crazy equation mean, well if you have not figured it out it means that Macie took 4 years to get pregnant with and Baby Hunsperger took 1 try. I am still in such shock and can't believe we are going to be a family of 4. It has taken me some time to get excited, as we really didn't want to get pregnant until September, but with Birth Control being the most horrific thing I have ever been on in my life and me having this wonderful disease called Endometriosis, once I went of the pill, trying for another seemed like the most logical choice. We thought the earliest we would be pregnant was April and thought for sure by June we would be knocked up, I was happy with that and that our kids would be just over 2 years apart. However that is not what the Lord had planned for us. It was funny how two days after we had some UMMMMM "fun", I was in the kitchen drinking a glass of water after eating healthy all day and just gone for a 5KM run when I felt so bloated. The thought of being pregnant crossed my mind, but I brushed it away quickly thinking it was impossible. For the next 5 days I experienced the same feelings and was starting to think I was going mental, I would talk to Mark about it and tell him how I really think I am pregnant but how I thought that was impossible. I tested on a sick the day my period was due and it came back negative, well I am not pregnant, thank goodness, but I am going crazy and my body is definitely not itself right now. 3 days later my period still hadn't come so I said one last try and if it comes back negative I really am not pregnant and I need to go see a doctor for whatever is going on with my body. Well 1 minute into peeing on that stick and there was a positive sign. Emotions were all over the place, YAY I am not going crazy, my body is not messed up, uh oh I am pregnant and due in October, what no way how is this possible there is no way. Now that I am almost 9 weeks, and we had a slight scare and thought we had lost it, and I got to see my baby and see it's heartbeat on an ultrasound I am filled with such joy and excitement to be snuggling my little baby boy or girl in less then 7 months.  This pregnancy has been totally different then Macie's. Sick, Sick and more Sick. Bloated every single minute of every single day, my complexion is terrible, my hair is a greasy dry mess. Yes I know I am complaining but I just want to remember the good and the bad of my pregnancies. Oh and the waistline is getting huge. No seriously huge. Not only do they say you grow bigger sooner with the second, but when you are nauseas and carbs are the only thing to settle your stomach and the doctor puts you on light activity, so that means no exercising my body just goes to crap, all my muscle tone is gone none of my clothes fit, and the scale yesterday had me putting on 4 lbs in two weeks. Can you just imagine the tears. I am trying not to think about it 24/7 but when you have spent the last three years of your life getting healthy, making huge lifestyle changes and being the skinniest and healthiest you have ever been in your life it definitely hits your pride when you feel like you have no control over your body. Let's just end that rant by saying I can't wait for the 2nd trimester to come, when I can work out again, and hopefully the nausea is gone and I can't eat as I please, and the belly growth is from baby and not fat.  Oh one last thing we are 100% not finding out the sex of the baby and I can't wait to be surprised in the delivery room, this is our last and I love the idea of being surprised.

Macie has something to share!!!!

DEFINITLEY A DUDLEY!!

Although this little girl looks 100% like her daddy, today she proved to me that there is some Dudley in her, as she devoured the first glass of chocolate milk I gave her. Not only did she down it but when she got to the end, even though she was drinking through a straw she thought if she tipped the glass up she could sip back every last drop. Little did she know it would just spill all over herself.

Bump, SET, Spike

This Past weekend, was great. Thursday- Saturday Lakeland College hosted the 2013 Womans National Volleyball Championship. Eight teams from across Canada came to show their skills and vie in for the Gold medal. Because of our busy toddler we made most of the 6:00pm games and 2/3rds of the Lakeland games each day. These girls played very good. We were very impressed with the skill level of these athletes.
Lakeland hosted the event so they were automatically in the tournament, and seated in # 6th. They played their hearts out and caused 2 upsets against HC  Hawks, and the EM Lynx to make it to the gold metal game. The home town crowd came out to support by the hundreds. The energy level from the crowd was unparallelled to any other college event we have attended.
Macie was such a great fan, as she stayed late for most of the games and was very pleasant.

Macie and Emrie discussing their plans to play on a championship team

The Gold medal game was played on Saturday night, before a packed gym. Standing room only, the place was jammed. Our girls started out keeping up with the #1 ranked team, Fraser Valley Cascades, but fell short in 3 straight sets. This marks 5 golds in the past 6 years for the Cascades. We were very proud of our Rustlers. SILVER!!!!

GOOD MORNINGS

I love days like today. Up and at it nice and early. Eat a good breakfast, get showered and dressed, play for a bit with some toys. Then off we go to the common wealth to burn some energy, hit up superstore for a little shopping, then falling asleep on the way home from
Being tuckered out from a great morning. I hope our afternoon can be just as productive and fun.

FAMILY CAMP OUT!!!!

It started out as a good idea, Dad and Macie set up the tent while mom ran to wal-mart to get some treats for a camp out in the basement while we watched a movie. The tent was up, the treats were ready the movie was picked, fun was about to be had. We got about 15 minutes into the movie when we decided Macie needed a bottle so we quickly got one ready then snuggled back in the tent, that's when it all went downhill. Macie was almost finished her bottle and decided to throw it all back up onto the blanket and mommies pajamas, yuck. Once we got that all cleaned up we tried to snuggle Macie to sleep in the tent, which deep down I knew it was not going to work, after about 10 minutes of squirming, fussing, and not falling asleep we shut are adventure down for the night, put Macie in bed and then went in our seperate directions. Me to right this post and Mark to bed as well. Funny how such good ideas can take such a drastic turn from one small event. I still loved that we did it and had about 15 minutes of good quality family time, 30 minutes if you count the time Mark and Macie put up the tent together.

Some Wickidly, Wacky and Way to Many Wonderful Things about Macie

I realized today that I have not done an update on my daughters milestones in a while so before another month passes and I forget again I dressed the little girl up cute today, took some pictures and thought of all the new things this little munchkin is up to since turning one.

- Saying HI, wherever we go now she feels the need to say Hi to everybody. Yesterday was the cutest when I went to ONE TOOTH to get some new sports bras the ladies working there came over to ask me if I needed any help and Macie waved her little hand and sayed HI for about 2 minutes.
- on that note, she is talking up a storm. Mom, Dad, Shoes, Socks, Hi, Hihy(kity), this, that. I am very impressed with how clear she sounds. She has been a little slow at learning her words but once she says one she's got it and says it very clear.
- How crazy tough she is. She falls endlessly, smacks her head, bumps her head, wacks her arm, gets her fingers caught in drawers. Whatever it may be she hardly ever cries. It takes a lot to make her cry and even if she does cry from pain she is usually over it in seconds.
- One thing that I super duper love about Macie is that she does not need toys to play. She has such a good imagination and I think are house could have managed without buying a single toy for Macie and she wouldn't have got bored. Oh for the exception of Balls she definitely needs balls to funtion. Her only real obsession. Other then that, a piece of paper, a shoe string, a chair to push around, music to dance too,  a couch to run around, water, puppies, kitty, this girl can definitely keep herself occupied with anything.
- She pretty much feeds herself 95% of the time and does a fantastic job of doing it. A little more messy if mom does not help but she can pretty much eat her whole meal buy herself. A quick note on what a wonderful healthy eater my little girl is. Except when she is sick she will eat almost anything I give her that is healthy. She picks water over juice, wont touch ice cream or popsicles, devoures any fruit or vegetable I give her and downs shakes filled with fruit, greek yogurt, spinach, and wheat grass.  Meat is the only thing she struggles with and rice. But will eat anything pureed with a vegetable which is when I sneak in my brown rice, quinoa and chicken or salmon.
- Is a little social Butterfly and whenever we go somewhere the first thing she does is try and find someone to make a friend with. Hence her new thing of saying HI to everybody.
- Loves to play with puzzles and blocks. She stacks the blocks up as high as she can then loves to knock them over. She pulls every piece out of a puzzle then looks to mom for help to put them back where they belong. A couple times she has put pieces back all by herself and just gives the biggest most proudest grin ever.
- Since recoporating from being sick in Oct, Nov, and beginning of January. Macie has been a dream. Happy, fun, listening well, putting on weight, still sleeps like a dream.  Has of course fussy moments here and there but has been so good and has made the role of me being mom so enjoyable.
- Still has a lot of the same obsession, balls, animals, swimming, bath time, dancing, singing, Dad (She is such a Daddy's girl)

I am so excited for the spring and summer and walks to the park everyday, picnics, playing on the playground, exploring nature, swimming at the outdoor swimming pool, hiking, bike rides and all the fun new adventures we are going to have with this little girl.

I love Lily's tongue in this photo just ready to devour Macie in kisses

and here is Macie enjoying every minute of those kisses.

ignore the snot nosed, chapped cheeks face and just look at those eyes, love them love them love them.

loves to help mom clean up after her mess.

thanks to dad teaching her how fun it is to sit in the rice box, she now has to do it all the time.
