BRANDI'S WEDDING!!!!

Brandi Leavitt moved to Lloyminster way back in 2008, she came up here to play Basketball for the Lakeland College. We were already trying to make it to games when we could and that just gave us a better reason to go. We went as often as possible to cheer her on. When she was up here she meet a wonderful man named Jason Mendes and they started dating. Last year Brandi moved home as her parents where going through a separation, but she just couldn't stay away from Lloydminster and Jason. She moved back up and needed a place to stay and we opened are home up to her. She has been living with us ever since September, and got to hear the amazing news when Jason purposed on Christmas Day. She has been planning hard every since for her Wedding day, and that day was today.

She looked beyond beautiful, she took my breath away. Macie was of course in heaven seeing Brandi in her beautiful dress. I was honoured when Brandi asked to wear my veil as she didn't have one. The ceremony was short and sweet. In the evening we headed to the College where the reception was held. They had a delicious meal and great program and then some dancing. Macie and Wade loved it and Wade kind of stole the show dancing his heart out, all the while Macie followed Brandi around like a puppy dog. Brandi was so good about it and danced with her whenever she could. Brandi kind of won over Macie's heart when she moved in with us and Brandi has been such a good surrogate Auntie to her. We will be so sad to lose her as a room mate but so excited for her and this next step in her life.

Another good quote

Me and the kids were at the park and I was pushing the kids on the tire swing.

Macie "Wade I like you, cause your my brother."

Then she gives him a big huge and Wade had the biggest smile on his face. Definitely had mom tearing up.

Fire fighters rock!!!

Today I was on a walk with the kids to get a Birthday present for a friend, when on the way back in the Walmart parking lot the rescue squads were doing a mock accident and rescue. We sat and watched them do it and then afterwards the fireman treated my kids and let them sit in the fire truck. They put them in the front drivers seat too and put there fire hats on them and let them honk the horn. It was so adorable the kids were in heaven. They couldn't stop smiling. When we left they gave all the Fireman high fives. It was so adorable. It didn't just make my kids day but also moms.

Morning greeting

I don't do this enough with my kids but wanted to write this for memory sake.

This morning Macie come up into my bed with the biggest smile on her face and bouncing with so much joy.

"Mom, guess what, the Sun came out today."

she then proceeded to sing the song from Annie (one of mine and Macies favourite shows to watch together) The sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow, when I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely I just stick my chin and grin and say. Tomorrow, Tomorrow Love ya tomorrow your only a day away.  (this is Macie's version that she can remember).

I don't think I have ever been greeted in the morning in such an amazing way, it brought tears to my eyes. Seeing this innocent little girl with so much love and happiness.
