New Hair Cut!!!!

I've been trying to grow out Macies hair pretty much since she was born but it just doesn't like to grow that fast. So I finally decided to chop it all off and go with a short bob and I'm so happy I did. It looks so cute, and grown up.

Thanksgiving Wedding!!!

This weekend our Beauitful niece Kalina Hunsperger (yes we are almost name twins!!!) married her beau (Brad Fleming) it was such a Beauitful day, Kalina looked beautiful, the decorations were fabulous. Sadly Mark got the stomach flu heading out to the family dinner so we left early to not infest the rest of the wedding guests and the Bride and Groom. We spent the rest of the weekend with my Mom and had a wonderful Thanksgiving day at my Brothers house eating delicious food and playing fun games.

Another Gusher!!!

We were running around the kitchen the other day having races when SMACK!!! Wade smocked the corner of the counter. I went to see if he was OK and blood was gushing everywhere. I thought for sure we would be headed to the ER but once we got it to stop bleeding it wasn't to bad after all. Didn't even need a bandaid. Thank goodness for rounded edges or we would have been at the ER for sure with more stitches. This poor
Boy though can't catch a break with his face. Always cutting it open and getting scars.

Some cute pics!!!

House arrest!!

So we have been on house arrest since Tuesday with Macie having the chicken pox. Thankfully they never got to out of control and we are hoping they will be all cleared up by Sunday. It's been a little boring at times and with Mark being away now I have a lack of food, but man I have to say my kiddos are such good kids. Yesterday they played with there toys all day together. We turned on no TV till almost 5:30. Today we did some TV watching in the morning while Mom cleaned the house, then in the afternoon we got a get well care package that Grandma had sent them in the mail. The kids were beyond excited and played with there new treasures all afternoon. This evening though was epic we played with some new PlayDough I had bought for hours. Couldn't believe how much I enjoyed doing this with the kids. After PlayDough we read a ton of books then snuggled in Moms bed for a sleep over. I am literally writing this post while sleeping sideways at the end of my bed. Thank goodness for King size beds. It's been sucky being stuck in our house, especially once Mark left but have really enjoyed spending some quality time with the kids and realizing what good kids they are. I was fearing this week was going to be meltdowns and fighting and time outs like crazy but instead it has been a great bonding time as a family.

Chicken Pox, Really!!!

This past month I've been worried about Wade and some funny symptoms he has been having, so we have been going  to the Doctos lots and seeing a specialist in Edmonton in a week. All this time though that I have been worried about Wade, Macie secretly had the chicken pox virus floating around in her little system and yesterday morning the spots started to appear. When we first noticed them I didn't think that is what they were, I though it was an allergic reaction or some kind of bites, but the evening the spots had doubled and this morning they tripled and appeared in some uncomfortable places, poor girl. So we went to see the Doctor and he said she had a strain of the Chicken Pox. Really I said, but she had been immunized. Yes but she can still get it, especially because it is not the actually chicken pox but a family member of the chicken pox. So poor girl is band to staying in the house for 8 days. No school, no dance and no swimming lessons. She is gonna go a little crazy, and so our Mom and Wade. Thank goodness for backyards. So for now it is Oatmeal baths and Calamine lotion to help with the itching.

Homemade Mac N Cheese

Do you cringe when you whip up that blue cardboard box of KD that you just now is full of so much junk. From powdered cheese to who knows what is in the pasta, because when you make homemade Macaroni you can tell that the pasta is not the same. But it's hard some days you need something quick, filing, and something you know they will devour. Well did you know that there is a super quick homemade version that only takes about 5 minutes longer then the store bought processed preserved crap. All you do is boil some whole grain macaroni pasta or gluten free macaroni pasta. Once soft drain and bring back to the stove. Turn heat to low and add some evaporated milk and some cheddar cheese. Stir and let melt and thicken for about 5-8 minutes then serve and devour. Not saying this is a super healthy meal but sometimes we do need some carbs, especially super busy kids, or sometimes they need comfort food or sometimes we need a simple easy meal. I have definitely not cringed when I see Macie devour every bite of our homemade Mac n cheese over that evil blue box.

Another year of Preschool

I could have put Macie in kindergarten this year, but with having such a late birth I decided to wait and put her in next year. So this year we are in preschool 3 days a week in the morning. So far she is happy, she was a little sad she didn't have the same teacher and school as last year, but once she got there she was happy and excited to play and learn and of course do crafts.
