DO WHAT YOU LOVE!!!

This morning when I was feeding Macie I was checking out pinterest like I do everyday. I truly love pinterest I have already made about 5 or 6 recipes from it and am making another one tomorrow, made Mark's valentines day gift from an idea I got off of it, and am making a picture frame for Macie's room from an idea off of it, not to mention I am so excited for all the awesome ideas they have for things I can do with Macie that are more productive then sitting her in front of a t.v all day. However this morning when I was on there it got me feeling a little down and discouraged as I looked at all these amazing things other women can make and asked myself why am I not as crafty, or smart or talented as other women, why am I clueless with how to do makeup and useless at doing my hair cute. Why is my house decorated so terribly and why can't I find the things I want to find to make my house look cuter. I was thinking and feeling these thoughts all morning and afternoon, then when I got back from my appointment for Macie there was an article my friend posted on facebook that calmed my worries and made me feel human again. It talked a lot about how we need to stop feeling like we need to be these perfect people (women) do everything the best, make everything the best be a size 2, our homes are perfection and our food we eat be amazing. I reflected on my life and was thinking how much I love my life right now I truly do I have an amazing husband, and the most amazing little girl. I thought about the things I love in life, reading books, exercising (and not just to be thin I truly love exercising and the way it makes me feel), playing with Macie, spending time with family, keeping my house clean (I know really but I do love cleaning my house and looking at my house when it is clean), I like watching criminal minds, greys anatomy and sports, spending time with great friends, taking my adorable pets for walks, writing on my blog, the odd craft hear or there, saving money, paying off debt, and many many more things. I think as women and men in this world we need to not put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect. "Do what you Love and Love what you do" if having money in savings makes you happier then having a supped up vehicle or a house decorated to perfection, then have that money in savings. If exercising is what you would like to do with your spare time then don't worry about not making every craft you see on pinterest or facebook, but if you love to craft don't worry about being a fitness queen. I might not be good at crafting and have no idea how to sew, clueless when it comes to decorating my house, doing my hair and makeup and making the most amazing desert on the planet, but I can run a 5K in 28 minutes 3 1/2 months after having a baby, I have a house that is pretty much always clean, I am reading more books know then I have in my whole life, read the Book of Mormon in 3 months, I have a daughter who is loved the way she is suppose to be, we have friends over for fun and games all the time and more money in savings then we have ever had in our whole life. So I guess as best as I can I am doing what I love and am going to try and work on not beating myself up when I look at my house and my imperfect decorations, or my messy hair or eating one of the three deserts I know how to make. Again Do What you Love and Love what you Do, and be amazing because you are.

NEVER EVER EVER.....

Go for a run when it is dark out, I don't care how safe you think your neighbourhood is don't do it. Last Thursday I was going for a run when these 3 guys whistled at me I kept running and ignored them, I had this gut feeling not to pass them on the way back from my run but did not know how to get back to my sisters house any other way. So I ran back the same way thinking they would probably just whistle at me again or say hi or something, well I was wrong the one guy said to another hey go run with her. I started picking up the pace but could hear him getting closer, when he got really close he said hi to me and I said hi back hoping that would be the end of it. He then proceeded to grab my wrist and smacked me on the but. I turned around and told him to leave me alone, he grabbed my wrist harder and broke my watch off, I then kicked him in the leg got free from his hand and ran as fast as my legs would let me. It took me about 7 minutes to get back to my sisters house where I then just sat on the floor and balled my eyes out. One of the scariest experiences of my life, especially with there being three of them and they were all drunk out of there mind, I should be thankful though as I know it could have turned out a lot worse. Sooooo please friends of mine please never ever ever ever go for a run at night time no matter what it is not worth it, run on the spot in your house if you have to get a run in do something anything different then run outside when it is dark. I have learned my lesson and will never do it again.

ROLLING!!!

Today Macie rolled for the first time from her stomach onto her back. It was so cute seeing her do it. I immediately put her back onto her stomach and she rolled over again. So proud of her, I am hoping it was not just a one time thing and she keeps doing it everyday now.

SOME PRETTY ADORALBE PHOTO'S

I know I know so many posts and photos about Macie but I don't care I can't get enough of this little girl. She has stolen my heart and her Daddy's too! But I mean look at that smile who wouldn't adore a face like that.

HOMEMADE BLANKETS!!

I kid you not this little girl got more homemade blankets then any other baby on the planet. 16 in total from everybody we love and Macie will soon love. I love each blanket for a different reason and wanted to post a picture of Macie with each one so we can remember who gave her all of these beautiful blankets.

Kari Swendson will be used for when she is a little bit older as it is very long

Audrey Gurney (I am a little biased towards this one as it matches the colors in Macie's room perfectly) Use it as her bedding right now

Lara Gibb The most adorable pattern ever and I love that the letter M is on it

Sis Kathy Hall (My sister Terra's mother-in-Law) I use this one the most for now

Aunt Shirley love the pink polka dot one for traveling, and the other one for cold nights so warm

Aunt Rose This one has the most sentiment behind it too long to explain how though

Aunt Rose Also love this one for traveling and cold nights it raps around her perfectly

Kim Berryman

Grandma Clara

Corrine Shipley This one was for her blessing day and is put away for safe keeping it is beautiful

Kalina Hunsperger (yes that says Kalina it is Mark's niece) saving this one for when she is about 2 will love to snuggle with it I think

Diane Hunsperger Just received this one yesterday love it and will find a place for it for sure

Bethlehem Butler use these one's a ton too to rap her in at night time and in her car seat when we leave the house.

WEIGHING IN

Well our beautiful Macie keeps growing everyday and reaching new milestones. Her Doctors appointment yesterday had her weighing in at 12 lbs 2 ounces and in the 34% for her weight and 25 inches being in the 90% for her height. She also got her very first prescription for her very annoying goopy eyes. All day long I am cleaning her poor eyes so I really hope this helps. She has also started to giggle a little bit for us, the best way is if you sit her in her chair and sing to her "If your happy and you know it" she loves it and smiles the whole entire time and even gets in a couple of giggles. She also has started to go in her exersaucer and loves to play with the toys and look at all the fun colors.

And so it begins.....

The training for my wainwright half marathon on Saturday July 14th. I am so stocked and scared all at the same time. Scared that I will put in all this training and not have the energy to finish, scared that I will not be able to run the whole thing, and scared that while I am training my milk will start to dry up and I will have to stop. But oh so excited about those beautiful 21 km's I am training to run and when I do cross that finish line what a huge accomplishment it will be. Ever since I started training for a tri-athalon 2 years ago ( which I still have yet to do) I found this huge love for running, I seriously wake up every morning thinking can't wait to get my run in today. I am so lucky and blessed that I have found a love for it as it helped me loss a lot of weight 2 years ago and has helped me keep it off and stay fit and healthy. My goal is to run a full marathon buy next summer. So let the sore muscles and fat burning begin!!!

3 MONTHS!!!

Holy Moly today my little girl is 3 months old, how crazy fast it has gone bye. I want time to slow down so I can remember every moment with this little girl but at the same time I can't wait for new milestones. In 3 more months she will be eating food, getting ready to crawl, soon she will be giggling I can't wait she is almost there, and the many more exciting things that come with getting older. For now though I want to cherish every moment with this little girl and soak it all in.

Macie at 3 months:

- Smiles lots everyday, her smile is so adorable and she acts almost shy when she does it. I love trying to see how many times I can get her to smile in a day.
- holds her head up amazingly well
- hates tummy time but will do it for a little bit to please mom
- loves to be held so she can see the world
- loves to read books with mom and dad her favorite is "All Kinds of Kisses"
- she stands extremely well and I think might be an early walker but a late crawler. I see her being one of those kids that takes forever to crawl but then walks very soon after crawling.
- Is not sleeping through the night anymore but will still sleep for 5 to 6 hours wake up eat then sleep for another 3 to 4 hours. still pretty good for a 3 month old and I can't complain.
- Loves her Daddy so much and starts smiling when he gets home from work
- Her favorite time of day is bath time, I can honestly get her smiling the whole entire time she is having a bath.
- Still hates being put in her car seat and as she gets older and her cry gets louder it honestly sounds like we are torchering her when we put her in it, but I promise we are not.
- loves to play with her toys, if I hold them in my hand and sit her on my lap she loves to pick at them.
- she also loves putting her toys in her mouth and slobbering all over them.
- she is pretty darn fantastic, amazing, wonderful and the most amazing little girl ever. You completely rock your mothers world Macie and I just can't get enough of you.

Kalinda
- is feeling great and loving every minute of being a mom, even those hard moments as they make you appreciate the good moments that much more
- has got back to my pre-baby weight but still has a lot of toning up to do
- has been reading a ton of books as breast feeding gives me many moments in the day to do so. I read the Hunger Games and Catching Fire in 4 days and was able to read The Book of Mormon in 3 months. I hope to read it two more times this year.
- has to admit that besides being able to read when breast feeding I am not a huge fan of it, although my goal is for Macie to be a 100% breast feed baby and no formula. If the milk keeps a coming I am not a stopping.
- is excited for spring and summer to make its arrival so I can start getting out of the house more and go on walks and to the park with friends.

Mark
- Is still crazy busy with life and sometimes I feel like the both of us are in our own little world, me being a mom and Mark being a husband, dad, teacher, student, young mens president and working full time.
- Is so in love with his little girl and spoiling her rotten with hugs, kisses, reading books, and letting mom buy cute clothes for her. It was funny how when I was pregnant he would always say things like did you really need to buy that for her and wow she is costing us a lot of money and now he says well don't we need to buy that for Macie, and is excited to see the clothes I bought for her.

The Pets
- Are doing fantastic, Cobalt keeps ignoring Macie, Molly and Lily want to lick her to death but listen well to mom and dad when they say no. Lily is going to be such a protector of Macie as whenever she is crying, she gives us that look of Hello help her she is sad, and if she is in her room playing on the floor and I have to quickly go to the bathroom and she starts crying when I leave Lily will go lye down by her trying to comfort her.

OH THE MADNESS!!!

Of March Madness, one of my favorite times of the year. I remember growing up every year as a family we would order our pizza and watch the Final Game for Monday night Family Home Evening, Mark and I have been able to keep that tradition up as much as possible. This year I am even more pumped for March Madness as having T.V again we have been able to watch some of the games so I know a little bit a very small bit of what has been going on in the nation for college basketball. Also being home full time with baby I have been able to watch games all day long today and is probably what I will be doing the next two weeks. I also love that every year our family does an ESPN Tournament challenge I have yet to win but I feel pretty good this year as I have Kentucky winning it all without a doubt one of the best if not the best team in the nation. I guess we will see on April 2nd who really is the best. This year we also have a tournament challenge with the Harkers and a box of smarties on the line for the winner so Bring it Harkers can't wait to eat my smarties :)
