Tempting Mommy

I had my 5th ultrasound today for the baby because of concerns with the babies kidneys, everything with baby is good however he/she is just torturing mommy. I had my regular 20 week ultrasound and was strong and didn't find out the sex, then 30 weeks to make sure I was not going into early labour, and the cysts on the babies brain had gone away, then again at 35 weeks because the baby was breech and he wanted to check to see if the baby had turned which it did, then today at 37 weeks to make sure the kidneys that were swollen had gone down, which of course like all the scares we have had with this pregnancy everything is A OK. I was so close to saying yes when the ultrasound tech asked if we would like to know, but I was strong and didn't find out. Even Mark almost crumbled today. But through all these ultrasounds we have stayed strong and get to experience the awe of finding out in the delivery room. On a side note I wanna thank my Heavenly Father for answering all of our prayers with these little worries and stresses and protecting our sweet healthy baby.

First curls

Today for church I got out my skinny curling iron, set it on low and curled Macie's hair for the first time. It was so darling and she looked so adorable. I can't wait to do this more and more for her as she gets older and her hair gets longer and thicker.

Another visit to the petting zoo

This girl definitely likes her animals, she is getting so good at being able to name or point out the most popular ones, and can say what noises they make. So with Mark at stake leadership training on Saturday I decided to take her to the petting zoo again and have her see these animals she can name in a book in real life. She loved it and was especially fascinated with the water buffalo, pot belly pigs, and the macaws. The macaws scared her to death though when she was walking to them they jumped and scared a bunch of small birds that went flying at Macie, she jumped so high and ran to my arms. Thankfully they didn't scare her too much that she still wanted to see them and say hi to them. It was so fun and so cute seeing her watch them, say hi and bye to them and make the noises they make back to them. At the end of the day though the kitty still won her over and she would have stayed there all day and played with it.

A full day with Macie

From the time Macie woke up till bedtime it has mostly been me and her, as Daddy teaches class on Wednesday night. There was some rough moments, but all in all it was a great day with my munchkin. We started with Cheerios and bananas for breakfast. Then went to Explosive Gymnastics for 2 hours and let Macie run, jump, balance and play on all there equipment. Then we headed home to meet Dad for lunch. I tried to give her a nap after that but she wasn't in the mood, so no nap today and an early bedtime. After our failed attempt at a nap we decided to carve a pumpkin. She was hesitant on putting her hands in the muck, but would help mom clean it out with a spoon. What she really loved was helping mom pick out the seeds and washing them, next we coloured all over the pumpkin. While Mom cleaned the mess Macie played in her room, and when I went in to check on her she was sitting on the floor reading books, so precious. Next we went and did a little shopping and got macie some fun window markers, while mom made supper Macie coloured all over the windows. When dad got home we had some crazy fun in the basement as we always do with Daddy, once Mark left I had a good hour still to fill the time so we went in the backyard and had races, went on the swings and slides and drove around in our play car. Next was snack then bottle, snuggles and reading lots of books. It was a long day and she had a couple meltdowns, but a great day with my sweet Macie there will not be many days left with just me and her and I want to try and remember some of these wonderful moments.

With the bad comes good!

We are up in Calgary this week as Mark has a course, and since Devon fronts the bill we decided to stay in the nice hotel where the course is at, with an outdoor pool, yummy restaurant and great service. So today after Macie and I went swimming we got a little bored and we played some crazy games of jumping from bed to bed, and jumping off the bed and mom catches me. I guess showing that to Macie was a bad idea as later on tonight after I finished changing her diaper and walked to put it in the trash can, Macie decided to jump of the bed with no one there to catch her, she took a good tumble and had one of her best hurt cries yet, thankfully she is OK, which makes this next part the best. I decided to bring her into bed and sing her some songs to calm her down and get ready to put her into bed and the little munchkin cuddled right up into me while I sang to her and fell asleep. She has not done this since she was a baby. I am loving every minute of it. I hate that she hurt herself tonight, but can not complain about the amazing snuggle session I am having right now.

Week 33

I can't believe how fast it has gone buy, even for how miserable of a pregnancy it has been. I swear I was just saying yesterday 10 weeks left and now only 7.
I would do it all over again though, and have it be even worse if that is what it takes to bring us another child to love and care for. So far the majority of the votes are saying boy, and most people say to my face that they think it is a boy, I still have no hunch. I did buy a couple of boy clothes the other day so I feel better about being prepared weather it is a boy or girl. So lets hope for a quick 7 weeks, I guess I should start getting my hospital bag ready and the nursery set up.

GUESS THE GENDER OF BABY HUNSPERGER???

Not finding out the gender of our baby was one of the hardest things I have ever done, however I am so pumped for the surprise in the delivery room and the excitement of everybody finding out. I needed something to be special about this pregnancy as Macie was our little miracle and had not only us but all our friends and family so excited and happy for us. I already have my fun way planned to tell everybody when it comes what it is, however I would love to see what everybody's guesses are as I honestly have no clue. I feel something different everyday, last two months were girl and now I am feeling strongly that it is a boy, so really I am clueless. So please anyone and everyone feel free to put in a guess or a wager, it will be fun to put in the baby's book for him/her to look back on.

Some funny things about Macie

 1. She is in love with olives. She loves to put them on her finger like daddy showed her and devour them.

2. She has her own crazy language, that she speaks at the top of her lungs to anybody that will listen, even if you are not listening she will get right in your face and try and get you to listen. I will try and post a video I have of her talking, but usually video doesn't work lately on my blog.

3. She is obsessed with Nemo, this morning I asked her what she dreamt about and she told me Nemo. She will put herself to sleep at night by calling out Nemos name, and it is the only show she asks us to watch. She also cries when the movie is over and says  bye bye Nemo with tears.

4. She could eat Cheerios for every single meal. In the morning she wakes up goes to the cupboard and pulls out her box of Cheerios. If I ever ask her what she wants to eat she always says Cheerios, in the most adorable way.

5. She always calls poop, pee. If she poops her diaper she comes and tells me that she peed.

There are a lot of pretty wonderful things about this little girl that I like to write about but thought a post about her silly things would be a fun memory, as I hope to never forget them.

Macie's a BIG Girl!!!

Well Macie's first night in a big girl bed started out on a bad note, she had a total melt down and was crying so bad she couldn't control herself. Finally I went into her bed and she followed me, cuddling and trying not to cry. I finally decided to leave the room and see what would happen, she cried for a bit and you could hear her try and open the door, about 10 minutes later though pure silence. The silence stayed for a good 15 minutes and I thought for sure she had passed out, it was now just going to see if it was on the floor or in her bed. We thought for sure she would be on the floor. We opened the door and there was her adorable little body on her bed covered in blankets and fast asleep. Sad she had a melt down tonight but so happy she went and put herself in to bed and finally fell asleep. Such a big girl she is becoming.
