I don't know how many times I have heard people say, but I can't run. Let me set the record strait unless you have a physical ailment anybody can run. Doesn't mean it has to be a marathon but anyone can work up to some distance weather it be 1km or 42. I have endless examples of proof my cousin that worked her way up to running a half marathon last summer who told me I was amazing for running my half marathon two years ago and there was no way she could ever do it, or a friend of mine that ran 6 KM's the other day her furthest distance yet, plus many more examples I could list. The proof is there I promise you anyone can do it, so don't let that be your excuse. Now some people just plan and simply hate running, and that is OK you don't have to be a runner to be in shape or healthy. I do think it is important. I remember hearing once at the Olympics some announcers fighting over who was the better athlete Usain Bolt or Micheal Phelps they came to the decision that Usain bolt was because every athlete runs. But it is still not necessary. My sister in law who has a rockin body hates running, she still does it because she knows it is important but most of her amazing figure comes from weight lifting and classes. I could probably beat her in a long distance run but she would destroy me in an arm wrestle or anything that required using muscles. It is not so much that running is important just some form of cardio which can come through biking, dance classes, swimming, Zumba and many more fast pace events. I know sometimes I talk about running to much but next to being honest to your fellow men, kind, loving God (if you believe in God) and loving your family, I think being healthy is the most important thing. Not skinny HEALTHY. When I ran my first 5 KM race the girl that passed the line just ahead of me was not overweight but definitely not skinny but man was she in good shape enough to kick my but at a race and I am a pretty good runner. I know making the choice to be healthy was the best decision of my life and even though I might not be where I want to be on the scale I definitely know my body is still healthy as I ran 7 KMs tonight and it felt amazing.

Summer is the best time of year!!!
Parades, swimming outside, parks all day long, endless walks, suntanes, summer vacations, late nights, ice cream being justified. I love summer and I think more and more every year I need to move somewhere warmer. Arizona being my #1 choice. Today was one of those perfect examples of why summer is great. Went to the parade with my co-workers and there adorable girls, played in the pool in the backyard, went for a good 6 KM walk, played at the park and got filthy dirty, had long baths then ended the night with a quick show and popcorn and fruit for supper. Such a wonderful day and the kiddos where superb.

TECHNOLOGY FREE!!!
I struggle with technology and it constantly getting in the way of life. Some people have such a good grasp on it and are so good at using it in moderation. I have good moments but it has been really bad lately. I think some what is because at the end of a long hard day I just want to tap out, and not think about life. So I am giving myself a challenge.
Challenge:
No Facebook, texting, or TV until I reach my goal weight and we get our bedroom organized and decorated the way I wanted (I have been putting this off for a long time).
So if you wanna get a hold of me CALL ME and if I don't answer leave a message. This will be my only way of communicating, and face to face contact.

Praying!!!
We say our prayers every night with Macie and I have to be honest it is always a gong show. She never sits still, never listens and never wants to say them herself. And that is ok we try not to push her and hope that one day she will have a desire to pray to her Heavenly Father. We know we just need to keep being that example and don't let up. While tonight on our way to Kindersoccer I heard Macie talking to herself so I looked back at the red light and saw her with her eyes closed her arms folded and she was talking to her Heavenly Father. I couldn't help but tear up. It was so beautiful and sweet hearing her pray for her puppies, Wade, and mommy and daddy. It was so reassuring and helped me feel peace and comfort knowing that staying consistent no matter how bad it gets is the key.
KINDERSOCCER!!!
Today was our last day of Kindersoccer. We had it every Wednesday from 6:45 till 7:30. Macie was one of the youngest there, with lots of kids a year or two older then her so I had to learn a lot of patience and realize it is OK that she can't listen as good and do as good as some of the other kids. When we would be more relaxed and just let Macie do her thing it always went better and she usually listened and participated better. It was so much fun having that mother daughter time every Wednesday, especially cause the parents got to be super involved. On the last day today we had pouring rain for the last two minutes and quickly got our medals and balls and then rain for three minutes laughing and dancing in the pouring rain to the car. I am excited now for summer and no commitments but will probably give soccer another try next year.

Edmonton Fun!!
The day started out early and bleak, it was pouring rain the whole way to Edmonton and we were positive our stake was going to cancel there Family Fun Race. We didn't let it get us down though. The moment we passed Elk Island Park the sun came out and the rain stayed away for the whole day. It was beautiful and sunny. We started my heading to Clover Bar Park as our Stake was having a BBQ and family fun races. 12 KM bike or 6 KM run. We decided to take in the tandem bike and put the kids in the bike stroller. There was a little more hills then we thought and Wade cried for probably 8 of the 12 KM's but it was so beautiful and such a nice ride. Then we headed to a splash park and meet my mom and dad to hang out with for the rest of the day. After the splash park we went to west Edmonton mall and watched the Sea Liom show. Macie was so intrigued and loved every minute. Then dinner at Moxies. What a great day and such a wonderful time with we got to spend as a family.

Weigh in: WEEK 2
Well this week was great until Saturday night when we went for dinner at Kelsey's and totally ate food we shouldn't have, followed by a guilt free Fathers Day Sunday of Cafe Rio Burritos and Chocolate Skor Poke Cake. That is my favourite thing about this challenge though you just pick yourself right back up and go right back at it, the only damage you have done is the scale stayed the same 148lbs. I also didn't get to the gym as much with being busy but the weather was beautiful so I had lots of good walks with the kids. My favourite recipe this week was one I got from the vemma bode iPhone app, it was this Garlic Lime Chicken and it was to die for good. I am definitely making it again this week. Another delicious meal was zucchini with some vegetable seasonings and mozzarella cheese, then baked in the oven. So yummy and great for a low carb day snack. So I am hoping for more workout this week and no failure days and maybe a guilt free Sunday that isn't so guilt free to see the scale come down a pound or two.
