WADSTER!!!!!

What to say about this little man. So so much.

He hasn't had the easiest first year from spitting up 24/7, ultrasounds, X-rays, having to be on the yuckiest formula ever, and a Dog Bite two weeks before his first birthday. Yet he still finds the time to smile and smile and smile some more.  He definitely threw are life into a whirlwind and I never thought having a second child was going to be so hard, but he has been worth every sleepless night, puked on clothes, pulled at hair, and the 20 lbs that won't go away.

All the wonderful things about Wade

- His smile his smile and oh man that smile.

- His Laugh

- He loves to play with toys more then anything else from Macies to his even Mommys and Daddy's.

- he is obsessed with holding my comb when I get ready and loves it when I blow dry my hair. If he is on the main level and heard the blow dryer come on he comes rushing upstairs to see it and me.

- He has been walking know for 2 months, while more so running.

- Wade doesn't let anything hold him back, he somehow finds a way to do what his big sister is doing.

- He loves to be held and is a little bit obsessed with Mom and Dad and not letting us leave him or put him down.

- He is not a picky eater as will eat almost anything but he is not that big into cut up food he still likes it processed in the baby bullet.

- Has his seven tooth coming in right now

- is almost down to only one nap a day.

- is on the go all day long. He would be most happiest if I sat in his room with him while he played all day long.

- says Mama, Dada, hi and ball a couple of times.

- loves clapping his hands and giving high fives.

- he has some sweet dance moves and loves showing them off.

I love this little man of mine so much and am so blessed to have him in my life and to get to be his mom. He has such a sweet spirit and kindness to him but is such a boy. Tough and loud and wants to play with anything and anyone. His voice is awesome and I can't wait to hear him talk more. I can't believe he is already one. I love you Wade so much!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

A scary moment!!

Today around 4:00 I got a phone call from my day home that she was at the hospital with Wade and he had been bitten buy a dog. My heart sunk and fear came over my whole body. I ran out of my work faster then ever and rushed to the hospital as fast as possible, gave Mark a call on the way to go pick up Macie and meet me at the hospital. When I got there I was prepared for the worst, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but I still teared up seeing my sons face covered in blood and the sad look in his eyes. Lisa was devestated and I can't even imagine how she felt my heart almost aches for her as much as it does for Wade. There was a bit of a waiting game as the room they needed to take Wade into to clean up the wounds were all full. When we finally got in the Doctor confirmed the need for stitches as long as the anisthesiologist would OK it as he was so little. Finally at 9:00 PM I held my son in my arms as they administered the gas and he fell asleep. I kissed his cheeks and then waited a good 20 minutes for the Doctor to come out and tell me all went well and he got 4 stitches. The nurses and Doctors were so good to us. And everyone there, even the other patients fell in love with Wade and his sweet smile. Wade was so good too and in such good spirits for what he went through. I have definitely never been so scared as a mom before, rushing to the hospital. Waiting in the OR for him. I know that we are so lucky as I have heard some horror stories about Dog bites before and to walk out with 4 stitches and some scratches, I can't thank Heavenly Father enough for watching over him and protecting him.

A Perfect Sunday!!!

What an amazing sabbath day. Woke up nice and early so I wasn't rushed getting me and the kids ready for church. Then the McBrooms (the Senior missionary couple in our branch that our staying with us till the end of Sept) watched Wade all of Sacrament and he was so good. While Macie snuggled on my lap for the whole meeting. It allowed me to feast upon the words of Christ and as well get some good snuggles with Macie (nothing sounds better to me then that.) Then Mark watched Wade for the next two meetings so I got to enjoy Sunday School and Young Women's. After church Wade went down right away for a nap while me and Macie went outside and enjoyed the insanely beautiful hot sept 21st weather. Macie picked dandelions and I relaxed and let the sun kiss my face (another one of my favourite things to do). When Mark arrived home after all his Sunday duties Wade woke up and we went for a nice long walk to the park as a family. There was a couple there playing there guitars and singing some nice peaceful songs. We loved sitting and listening to there beautiful voices and looking at the beauty all around us. Then we headed home for a delicious supper. BBQ'd bacon mushroom and Swiss burgers, salad and fried potatoes. With a delicious homemade desert thanks to Sis. McBroom. Then we just played and laughed and spent time together as a family. I would normally be disappointed that I didn't have pictures to post but this day was to perfect and peaceful and beautiful that I don't need pictures to remember it.

What a great day!!!

Mark left this morning on another work adventure and will be gone till Sunday. I always get worried and stressed and ask myself how am I going to handle both day and night with no help. My Heavenly Father. It always amazes me how he is watching over me. Today could not have been more perfect. Woke up and snuggled in bed with the kiddos, then made some French toast and Strawberries for breakfast and everybody gobbled it up. We then got ready and walked to the bank for a quick appointment. The kids were so good and munched on an early lunch while I filled out some paperwork. Next we walked to Bud Miller Park and played for a good hour before we headed home. Macie did another great job of walking to Bud Miller Park and back. On our way back home Macie picked some leaves and while Wade napped we made a leaf collage. Then Macie did some free play while I cleaned the house and Wade finished napping. Not once since this point had the kids been whiny or bad. Listening so well and behaving like perfect children. Next was Supper where they both did a great job eating there Chicken, Broccoli and Quinoia. Then we all went into Macies room to play. Wade got a little fussy around this point and Macie was struggling a bit to share so I put macie in the bath while I focused on Wade and played one on one with him for a bit. Next was Bottles, stories and then Bed. I guess I wore them right out as they both fell asleep in less then 15 minutes. What a great day, I love blogging about these days it helps me to remember how good my kids are and how much my Savior is watching over me, he knew I needed a good day today and I know he helped make that happen.

Wades first hair cut!!

We did a quick trip to Edmonton today for some costco shopping and also went to Galaxyland to hit up some rides. They are both still free so makes for some cheep fun. Wade wasn't sure what was going on but Macie loved all the rides. Especially the helicopter ride. We were having to much fun to take pictures. We also stopped at TOYSRUS to look for a bike and birthday present ideas for Wade. We ended up finding a really awesome little tikes bike for Wade that was on sale. While I was looking for present ideas Mark took Wade for a quick haircut at the beaners hair salon for kids right beside TOYSRUS. He said it was awesome in there and they did an awesome job making sure he wasn't scared. When I saw Wade for the first time after his haircut I couldn't believe how handsome he was. He also looked so grown up.

Our Weekend!!

This weekend my parents come up and we did some family time in vermilion visiting my Grandma in the hospital and spending time with my moms sister family. We first headed out to vermilion Friday night for dinner at Boston Pizza. We meet my parents there and my Aunt Tina, Uncle Jeff and my cousin Jordan. Then we headed to the hospital to visit my Grandma Feenstra. Saturday we then headed to Vermilion to go swimming with Mom and Dad. Macie and Wade loved it and had a blast swimming. Macie went down the big blue slide all by herself about 10 times. She thought it was awesome. She is still a little to scared to go off the diving board but I think she is gonna do it soon. We then headed to the hospital again for a quick visit with Grandma and then went out to Tina and Jeff's house for supper. We had a blast going for quad rides. Macie loved playing with all there cats especially there new kitten. The Kity also loved playing with Macie, she was in pet heaven. It was such an enjoyable weekend and so nice to see Grandma even if it was in the hospital and spend time with my parents and extended family.

Proud Momma Day!!!

Today I get to be the proud mom and brag about my kids.

1. Wade took his first steps

2. Macie walked 4 KMs all buy herself to bud miller park and back. (Not actually by herself I was there but without her bike or in a stroller just walking on her own to feet)

3. How unbelievable well behaved they were.

4. How cute they are, but that is every day.

Kalispell Family Vacation

This summer we bought an old used tent trailer to create some family fun and memories. Unfortunately the cover we had re-done was not ready in time so we ended up having to truly tent it, and it was a great experience. Everyday was filled with fun, sunshine, playing, tears, naps in the truck and ice cream.

Day 1: Sunday
-  We spent Saturday night at Mark's brothers house (Dani) and found a 9:00 church in Cardston to go to, then headed to our campsite in Whitefish MT after that. It was one of the most beautiful drives we had ever been on and the kids were amazing. I had bought some sticker books for Macie and she pretty much did that the whole entire time or sang songs. Wade napped or played with toys. We arrived at our camp site and found it to be one of the best campsites ever. All you can eat breakfast every morning, a small petting zoo, bounce houses that were set up everyday, paddle boats, a swimming pool, banana bikes, ridiculously nice clean bathrooms and showers. We spent the rest of Sunday checking out whitefish and Kalispell, setting up our site and planning our week of fun.

Days 2: Monday

We headed to the Big Sky Waterpark for some waterslide fun. It was a nice day but windy and cloudy so nice when we clouds went away, but a little chilly when the clouds came out. We mostly swam in the big hot tub that they kept more luke warm. Macie is really improving on her swimming skills and starting to really enjoy going under the water for longer periods. Wade loved the water and splashing around, we then headed back to camp for supper and playing at the campsite. Macie loved the park and bounce houses. One was the slide kind and loved to go time after time after time. Wade loved crawling around on the grass and going on the swing.
all tuckered out after a day of swimming

what a great smile
Day 3: Tuesday

We headed out nice and early to Whitefish Mountain to go for a Gondola and Alpine ride. It was another cloudy morning and the temperature was a little colder but nothing a sweater can't fix. The drive up the Mountain was beautiful and filled with these insanely huge Cabins. When Macie saw the Gondola she thought it was a Helicopter and was so excited we were going on a Helicopter ride. She couldn't stop talking about it and every time we passed one on the way up the mountain she would shout "look a helicopter". The Alpine slide was so much fun Wade held onto Mark pretty tight and Macie was loving every second of it. The Sun decided to come out so we then headed to Whitefish to walk around the beautiful touristy town. Sort of looked like a Banff or Waterton type place, only a lot bigger. Then back to camp for Supper. We then headed to Kalispell to hit up costco for some Ice Cream and to see what there prices are compared to the states. The Ice Cream at Costco was way bigger then in Canada and we maybe shouldn't have ordered three of them, but Macie almost downed the whole thing and Mark finished what Macie and I couldn't. Another great day and the Mountain was beautiful.
staying warm on a cool morning

the beautiful view

Gorgeous mountains, the clouds made for a big of a foggy picture but it was gorgeous up there

the biggest cheapest ice cream ever

Day 4: Wednesday

The day the Sun came out. It was Sunny all day long, not a cloud in the sky and no wind, so we had no choice but to hit up the beach all day long. The kids loved it and played in the sand and water all day. We then headed back to our campsite to play on the paddle boats and at the park. That night we headed into Kalipsell for an air conditioned restaurant and the best Asian Buffet we have ever been too. It had an extra bonus of all you can eat Sushi, so delicious. That night was a crazy thunderstorm and rained all night long, thank goodness for a tent that kept us dry all night.

Day 5: Thursday

We loved the Whitefish Mountain so much we decided to head up there again and do two more Alpine Slides, each taking turns with the kids. It was so fun and we decided on our last ride to walk back up instead of taking the chair lift and Macie walked the whole way, it wasn't to0 far but a steep incline, I was so proud of her. We then went to Whitefish for some homemade Huckelberry ice cream. Hands down the best Ice Cream I have ever had. Then we headed into Kalipsell to hit up "The Zone", this family fun center, kind of like a chucke cheese only way cheaper and lots funner. Then we did some shopping and hit up the best drive thru burger joint we have ever eaten at. The burgers and fries were amazing and we had to get some huckelberry milkshakes to top it off. I don't think I could ever get sick of huckelberry ice cream.

Day 6: Friday

Time to pack up and head home. We got out of there pretty quick and headed for Cardston to spend some time with Mark's family and visit with some friends at a 50th Wedding Anniversary party for Bill of Bob Michel, cousins to Mark's dad. We then did something crazy as the kids were done and ready to be home. We headed back to Lloydminster at 9:00 at night. We didn't get home till 5:00 in the morning but it was peaceful and the kids pretty much slept the whole way. We are still recovering from loss of sleep but it was so nice to sleep in our own bed, and spend all day Saturday cleaning up.

The Trip was amazing and we had so much fun, definitely going back again, the kids were so good, traveled amazing, Macie slept incredible at night in the tent. Wade did pretty good just up every morning nice and early. The weather although it was not booming hot was always nice when we needed it to be, and the views were spectacular. Now just to run off the 5 lbs we gained from eating all that huckleberry Ice Cream.
