Nailed it!!!

So you know how you see those pictures on Facebook of people who attempted to make things on Pinterest and did a terrible job. While that was not me this time. I made Thanksgiving dinner for the first time in my life, I have helped before in making a salad or buns, but this time I actually made the whole dinner pretty much myself except for the stuffing and the gravy. My mom made those. And who would of known that it turned out great, actually I am gonna be a little cocky and brag because the Turkey was unreal amazing. I followed this recipe on Pinterest which was super easy buy the way. But the best part it was super delicious. It was almost sad that there was only me, Mark and my mom to enjoy it. The desert was to die for good, a pumpkin cheesecake desert. I am so blessed to have had such a wonderful thanksgiving weekend. The weather has been beautiful, the food delicious, and the time spent with family lovely.

Lots going on and nothing going on at the same time in my life. It is taking us forever to find a house and not cause we are being super picky. It is driving me a little crazy and I know Heavenly Father is trying to teach me patience but I am not doing a good job of it. Days and evenings are busy with school, dance, house hunting, walks to keep me sane and give me some kind of exercise. Then the nights come and the kids go to bed and I am lonely. Mark has been up in Lloyd still during the weekdays. I have no internet so I do very little stuff on line. My scriptures to read and some books. I have gained like 5 lbs in one month from lack of exercise and a little bit of depression. It is so boring and I am so lonely that I watch pointless shows just to hear human voices and of course that leads to munching. I can not wait to get my husband back, get into a house, and get my life back into routine. So here is a photo dump of mine and the kiddos life up here so far. 

1ST Day of Preschool!!!

Holy cow I can't believe this day is finally here. My little munchkin is off to school. Yes it is just Preschool and yes it is only 2 days a week, but from here it doesn't stop. Next year is 3 day a week preschool and then kindergarten. I need to really cherish these next two years before she is at school full time. The thought of her being gone all day makes me cry instently. I really hope preschool goes well for her and they teach her the things I am not good at teaching her and she has fun learning.

10 YEARS!!!!

Today was our last Sunday attending the Lloydminster Branch as members. Yes as I am crazy behind on blogging and have not written about it yet I have some crazy news. We are moving from Lloydminster. Mark's company decided to down size and closed the office here in Lloydminster. We for sure thought Mark would be losing his job, however we were so blessed and instead of Mark being out a job we were asked to relocate up to the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area. We took a leap of faith and said yes and me and the kids head up to Cold Lake tomorrow to the house we will be staying in for now and renting. Our house here in Lloydminster will come on the market hopefully this week and if it doesn't sell in 3 months Mark's company buys it from us. That gives us some peace and mind right now seeing as the market is so slow because of the oil patch.

So how do you say good-bye to 10 years of our life. I never imagined growing up that my life would be the way it has turned out and that I would live up north. However I wouldn't change it for the world. Lloydminster has been so good to us and has done so much for us. We both found or careers here, many many friends, and of course some amazing lifelong friends. Lots of fun memories and some sad moments, and trials. The best part was the two beautiful children we were blessed with through the help of the Doctors here, and the prayers of the members of our Branch. The callings we have had has helped us to grow and strengthen our testimonies. We are going to push forward with our new life with optimism and hope that it will all be good. But we will defiantly miss Lloydminster and cherish the wonderful memories we made here.

Big Boy Bed!!!

Someone upgraded to a big boy bed tonight, here's hoping it goes well. 

GLENWOOD SUMMER 2015

So many fun things we did this summer up in Glenwood at our land. We were out of our mind crazy to go camping for two weeks in a tent trailer with a 1 and 3 year old, but we did it, and we had a blast. Too many days we were there for to write about every single day so I will sum up our events.

We started buy getting up Saturday morning and traveling 9 hrs from Lloydminster to Glenwood. The first 4 hrs were terrible, but after sum lunch and some naps the kids were great the rest of the way there. Tuesday and Wednesday our friends the Low's and Fyfe's arrived to do the Glenwood days with us. Our first week involved swimming at the Cardston Pool, Wally's Beach, lots of Ice cream, camp fires, a hike and picnic in Waterton and then the weekend ended with Glenwood Days. Friday was the dance and fireworks, the kids has a blast dancing the night away. Wade even made the DJ's website cause he had such good moves. Saturday was the parade, then Potluck Lunch at Spring Glen Park. The Skoien family joined us as well as Dani, Diane and there two daughters (Kalina, and Jenae) and Corrine and two of her three kids (Annika and Brynna).  Church on Sunday was jammed packed with visitors. Glenwood Days was a blast and definitely excited to go back every year. Our 2nd week involved a trip to Frank Slide. A devastating part of our heritage where a mountain crumbled in April of 1903 and killed over 70 people and covered over 3 km's of land with huge mountain rocks. Some more swimming at the Cardston pool, another trip to Waterton (where Macie accomplished a huge feet, and did a 6 km hike, so proud of her) and more visiting with Family and Friends in that area. The whole vacation was wonderful, beautiful weather, some tough moments with  grumpy toddlers, but definitely left excited to go back next year. Which I take that as a good sign.
