2016 GOALS FOR THE HUNSPERGERS!

2015 was such a big change for us, there was a lot of good moments, and fun times, some stressful moments, and crazy moments. All in all it was a great year and we learned so much and grew so much as a family. We have lots planned and big goals for 2016, this year Mark and I have set three big goals for our family.

1. Pay of our debt from buying our land in Glenwood

2. WEIGHT, WEIGHT, WEIGHT!!! oh my goodness this needs to happen so bad this year for both of us, we are going to train for a 1/2 marathon together and hoping it will be one of the best ways to drop the weight.

3. Build up our food storage again. We did really good 3 years ago finally building up some food storage, however we defiantly need much more and need more then just food. Our big goals are water, 72 hrs kits, and household items like.... toilet paper, diapers, wipes, soap. Things we need everyday and would go insane if we couldn't get them for a couple of months.

I am so excited that me and Mark set some good goals as a couple this year, too many times we set individual goals and focus on ourself more then our home and each other. We also set one goal for Macie this year.

Any day she goes without watching a show, and for the most part that also means doesn't ask for one, then she gets a dollar for her piggy bank. I felt a reward was needed as it will motivate her more to do it. We defiantly don't watch shows a lot in our house, however Macie could watch shows all day long if I let her. She has been doing so good so far and talks about how she doesn't watch shows anymore because she wants to do more productive things in the day like colour, read, play, bake and go to school.

I am so excited for this year and excited to work hard at our goals as a family.

Somebody turned FOUR!!!!

This little cutie of mine turned four today!!!

Macie is  sweet, feisty, loving, kind, enthusiastic, sometimes loud, not shy of anything, beautiful, smart, and generous little girl.

She still loves swimming and made a huge impression on her swimming teacher this fall.

She is so good at sharing it melts my heart, especially with her Brother. When she gets treat bags from preschool for Halloween or Christmas the first thing she does is pours it out and make sure everybody in the family gets a treat.

She is not even a little shy and will talk to anyone. She didn't even flinch when doing her part in the primary presentation and is one of the most out going kids in school.

She still has no fear and will do almost anything. The only thing she hasn't tried yet is the diving board at the pool.

She has a little trouble focusing and we have to work with her to really listen to us when we are talking to her or teaching her.

Crafts, colouring, cut and paste. She loves anything like that.

Pink and purple are her fav colours

Puppies, Dinasours (especially Triceratops), paw patrol, dress up, kitties, playing hide and seek, bike rides, card games, board games, races, shows, helping mommy cook. All the things she loves to do, to keep her busy throughout the day.

She is super competitive (wonder who she gets that from)

She truly though just loves spending time with Mom, Dad, Wade and friends. She doesn't like being alone and is happy as can be if someone is playing with her.

Charlie Brown still holding strong!!!

And to think last year Mark said we needed a new Tree, I was offended to think that he wanted to get rid of Charlie. He is back and just as beautiful as ever. I admit that eventually we will need to buy a new one but that time will come when kids and pets won't wreck my Beautiful real Christmas tree, when they won't destroy my perfectly placed ornaments. For now Charlie is staying in the family and lightin up our new home beautifully.

Primary Presentation!!!

Me and Mark were such proud parents today when Macie said her quote in the primary presentation perfectly and clearly. We had been practicing for the past three weeks and she has the whole quote memorized. We were so proud of her not needing help and doing it all by herself. Somehow I avoided crying but it was so sweet seeing the kids sing and say there lines. So excited for more of these presentations to come.

Macie's quote was

"I am thankful for our Prophet Thomas Monson and all he does for me.

Giving it your all

I MISS SUMMER!!!!!! It was so easy to find things to do all day, beaches, parks, bike rides, walks. I always get a little cabin fever/depressed in the winter. I find it more exhausting to try and find things to do inside all day then going for 2 hr walks in the summer and playing at the beach all day. Today I gave my all, today from the moment we woke up until we went to bed I put in all my effort to be the picture perfect mom/wife. Took Macie to swimming lessons, cleaned my house, tried to keep house clean all day, played games with the kids, made crafts with the kids, made healthy muffins with the kids, had a delicious healthy supper, took Macie to dance, ended the day with stories and snuggles. While doing all of this I also tried really hard to be super patient with the kids and not lose my temper. I have to be honest I am absolutely exhausted. The thought of even trying to do it again tomorrow almost makes me want to cry. I will admit though that I feel so good, so accomplished. And even though at the end of the day I am exhausted, overall the whole day was so good and so nice. So many good memories I made with my kids today.

My little preschooler

It blows my mind how much Macie has learned these past couple of months. From preschool to us working on stuff at home with her. I love watching her understand and learn more everyday. I love being so proud of my kid when she figures something out or learns something fast. Although I am not the best at teaching my kids I still try my hardest and it feels so good to see that hard work pay off.

Her colouring and spelling of her name has really improved just this week.

Halloween 2015

Macie since September was wanting to be Toothless from How to Train your Dragon, but with moving and renting and things being packed away I new that was not gonna be something we could make this year. I hate the idea of store bought costumes, to me most of the fun of Halloween is making your costume. Not necessarily from scratch but finding and putting pieces together to create something magical, but with the craziness of our life I opted to go to Walmart and buy the pre-made all perfectly put together costumes. We went with our kids favourite show "Paw Patrol", and the kids went as Skye and Chase. We went trick or treating in the neighbourhood of our rental house as they go all out. I was so impressed almost every other house is decorated and like crazy decorated. One house is unreal and has lights that play to music and you can tune your radio to a station and listen to the music and watch the lights dance. Even though are costumes were lame this was probably my favourite Halloween so far. The kids had a blast, the weather was awesome, Wade was especially cute running all over the place and saying Trick or Treat at all the houses. And even in there non home made costumes they still looked ridiculously cute.

WADE TURNS 2!!!

How is it possible that this baby of mine is already 2.  Wade since the moment you came into our life you have thrown our world upside down. You have been a bit of a challenge for your Mom since the moment I got pregnant with you, however I wouldn't want life to be any different or any easier if it meant not having you in my life.

- Your smile is the greatest thing ever. I could look at pictures of your smile all day long. If I am having a rough day or a bad moment, all it takes is your smile, or looking at a picture of your smile and I feel instantly better.

- To add to that, your laugh is even better. Your voice is still so unique and different and you can hear it in that adorable laugh of yours.

- You are obsessed with Dinosaurs, like super duper crazy obsessed. You play with them all day long, bring them with you every where you go, oh and could watch Dinosaur shows anytime of day.

- You also think trucks, cars, school buses, diggers, tow trucks, pretty much any type of vehicle are pretty close to being as awesome to play with as Dinosaurs.

- You love dancing, if the music comes on your body is groovin.

- Speaking has been a bit of a challenge for you, however these past 2 months you have made some huge strides and are finally starting to say words and communicate better with us.

- You need your blanket everywhere and anywhere you go. It is this thick, heavy, super cozy blanket that you got from Macie's first dayhome (Krista Cryderman) as a baby present.

- Food is hit and miss with you. Some things you devour and could eat all day long, and other food you won't even consider. Mom is just greatful though that you will eat lots of fruits and veggies for me. You are also obsessed with crackers, and like your Dad love pizza.

- You love to be rough and tough and play hard with your Sister, friends, and Mommy and Daddy.

- You are not as big of a daredevil as your sister and use a bit more caution in your play, but for the most part you will do anything and are still pretty adventures.

- You are a whopping 30 lbs, but still just pure muscle. You have never really had rolls of fat on your body, just endless muscle. Carrying you around is pretty non-existence.

- you have the best pout ever. You turn your back to us, fold your arms, and pout your lip. If we try and look at you, you just turn away from us and sometimes try and hid your smile.

- Wade you have the sweetest heart, and such a fun personality. You can give us some good attitude and like to use the word no a lot, our family is so blessed to have you with us. You bring so much colour, and character into our home. I can't wait to see how much you grow up this next year and start talking and communicating more with us.

These are some of my favourite pics of my goofball this year!!

Falling into Place!

After 6 weeks of torture and nothing going right, being in a rental house with not even a table or chair to sit on. No internet and constant delays and roadblocks. Things are finally starting to come along. We bought a house, I got a job back at the Walmart Vision Centre. Just two days a week (I am super excited for this), finally making some friends, and all the other little odds and ends are finally getting worked out. My patience was tested hugely the past 6 weeks and in all honesty I kind of failed. Getting so angry, frustrated, taking it out on my kids and hubby. I don't think I have been so stressed before in my life. Last week there was a lesson in Sundau school on patience and it was definitely meant for me. I finally remembered that my Heavenly Father loves me and if I trust in him everything will work out. Once I started to calm down and let things happen when they happen, everything started falling into place. Still a couple things that need to get figured out but overall on Oct 27th we are moving into our new house and hopefully gonna finally settle into our new life.
