Someone peed on the potty!!

Wade peed on the potty for the first time
the other day. I know it will still be awhile before his is potty trained but it excites me so much to think of being done with diapers.

How great is this smile!!!

Valentines!!!

I love Valentine's week, a tradition we started in our family of making Valentines boxes and for the week filling them daily with fun surprises. This year Mark and Macie went and picked out gifts for me and Wade, and me and Wade went and got gifts for Macie and Mark. Nothing big just little things from our favorite treats to fun little toys. The kids loved waking up every morning and seein what new surprises where in there boxes. Macie and I also made Sugar cookies (my first time ever making sugar cookies) for her dayhome friends and I took some to my co-workers. Such a great week of showing our love for each other. Then tonight Mark and I are headed for dinner to a fancy restaurant for some time alone. I love the way we have started to celebrate Valentine's, nothing huge no need for expensive gifts, just ways to show love for one another and some alone time with my hubby.

All about the kids!!!

Today was all about the kiddos. We started with some yummy breakfast, then got ready to go to open gymnastics. The kids loved it like always. Then we headed to the mall were I let Macie pick out some clip on earrings and Wade picked out a toy. Macie was of course in heaven and has been obsessed about her new earrings all day showing them off to everybody. Then we headed home for lunch and some naps. I even wore Macie out enough to get her to take a nap. After
Naps we did some silly play and then got Macie and me ready for our mommy/daughter date tonight. Mark went snowboarding tonight with a friend so I got our favorite sitter (Elizabeth Onofrychuk) to watch Wade while me and Macie went for a quick dinner and then meet our friends at the Lakeland Basketball game. This day couldn't have been more amazing. The kids were so good, we had so much fun and had some great bonding time.

Dance class!!!

I have been thinking a lot lately about what to do with Macie for school and extra curricular activities. I feel very strongly that we should wait and put Macie in kindergarten a year later as her birthday is so late in the year, with that decision I felt she needed to do a more structured extra circular activity as she won't be starting preschool in September. It was a hard decision between dance and gymnastics but after looking into all the programs dance at studio encore seemed the best. It was such a good choice, Macie loves it so much. She runs out after every session with a huge smile on her face and shows us all her dance moves.

More stitches

We were having such a wonderful time at the CO-OP grocery store, the kids were pushing around there little kid carts and we were getting groceries for dinner with our friends on Sunday. When all of a sudden I hear Mark freaking out and holding Wade's head. Then I saw the blood, it was everywhere and the huge gap on his forehead. I knew right away he needed stitches. The store workers were useless and did nothing to help us, Mark finally ran Wade out to the van and got our first aid kid. The bleeding finally slowed down a bit and we raced to the hospital with the hazard lights on. Poor Wade was crying and Macie was so stressed and worried about Wade. Thankfully the hospital ER was dead and they got him in right away. The Nurses and Doctor had to wrap him up in a blanket like a sausage and hold his body and head to give him his stitches. He screamed so loud I swear the whole hospital heard him. It was so hard not being able to comfort him when he was so upset. The doctors didn't like how much swelling there was so they did an X-ray of his head to make sure he didn't crack his skull. All was good and they sent us home. This poor little man of mine two sets of stitches in the past 4 months. The doc said this one will scar. He will definitely have some good scars to show off for the ladies.

A Tea Party

I love that this $10 tea set has been Macie's favorite Christmas present, she has already played with it for hours. Reconfirming to me why I don't spend a lot of money at Christmas.

Macie dresses like this on a daily basis. This dress over whatever she has on with a crown, tons of necklaces, princess shoes and bracelets.

MACIE IS 3!!!!

How is it possible that this little miracle of mine is already 3 years old. It blows my mind how fast they grow up. Sometimes I like it as I see them accomplish new things and learn new things everyday, but it is said that she is not my little baby anymore. She is almost not even a toddler anymore, she is turning into a kid.

- Macie still loves swimming more then any other activity. She would go everyday if we could.

- She is all girl, is obsessed with anything pink, purple and princess.

- Having mommy do her toe nails is one of her favourite things, and sits crazy still to let me do them.

- Her days are consumed with playing dress up, colouring, matching card games, playing outside, hide and seek, and rough housing with Mom, Dad and Wade.

- She is such a kind spirit and has such a good heart. She is strong willed like most kids, but never wants to see anybody cry or get hurt and will put her own wants and needs aside to make sure others are happy.

- Is still one of the toughest kids I know and can get kicked in the face and barely draw a tear, but if her feelings get hurt she is a wreck.

- When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner she of course said Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. She would eat that everyday if I let her. She is awesome at eating her fruit and also pretty good with veggies, she will eat broccoli, carrots, celery, snap peas, corn, sweet potatoes, even asparagus, cauliflower and peas. However ask this girl to eat some meat and it is the end of the world. If there is dip I can get her to eat chicken and Salmon but nothing else no red meat at all. The only type of sandwiches she will have is Nutella or PB and J. Cheese and Yogurt are another obsession and popcorn is definitely her favourite snack. She is not big into sweets which I don't mind at all and will pick home made carrot zucchini muffins over a cupcake.

- Baking is another love of Macie's, climbing up on the counter and helping mom put in all the ingredient and stir is one of her favourite things to do with me.

- She finally learned how to ride her bike at the end of the summer, I was out with her almost everyday and finally at the end of August her legs got long enough and strong enough that she could do it on her own.

This girl is so awesome, and I will always be eternally grateful to my Heavenly Father for picking me to be her mother. I love the bond we have and the amazing relationship we have together. I hope it only grows stronger as she gets older.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BEAUTIFUL MACIE, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Church Christmas Party!!!

To say I love dancing is an understatement, I can't even describe how good it makes me feel and how free I feel to dance the night away. Tonight was our church Christmas party and the ladies who put it together did an outstanding job. I think my favourite one yet. There was dancing all night long with an actual paid DJ who did a fantastic job. Then they had made this huge train and gave all the kids a golden ticket to ride the polar express. They got there tickets punched and went for a train ride to the primary room where they watched the Polar Express and had delicious snacks. Macie definitely has her moms love for dancing. That girl danced her little heart out and had so much fun, she ended up not even watching the show and danced the night with mom and dad. Wade was too GQ for the night. Looking so cute and busting a move when he felt the need to. What a fantastic night and great time as a family and with our friends.
