Second Winter

The official day of spring came and gave us a little glimpse of the warm weather, with some melting that happened. Our hopes were crushed with a brutal snow storm that blasted the mid west.
For two days wind and snow pummelled Lloydminster and area. The highways were impassable. Lease roads were drifted in so bad that graders were getting stuck. It got so bad that semi's and graders that were stuck were left on the spot. As the storm ended these vehicles were buried. All that you could see was the exhaust stacks and cab of the grader. A train even got stuck south of Lloydminster.

Cats were called in to clean up lease roads and back roads as tractors could not push the snow. The drifts were hard packed.

5 Years and Counting

Last month I received my 5 year award for working at Devon. There have been many ups and downs but working at Devon has provided a very good life for our little family. Here's to the next 5 years, may they be successful and fulfilling. Thank- you Devon for taking a chance on an unknown kid.

WORST FEELING EVER!!!!

Combine a pregnant lady, that has to pee and a sticky wet tighter then usual bathing suit, what does that equal the closest call I have had yet. On a positive note since being put on light duty from my doc Wednesday nights are the only thing I look forward to right now as I go swim laps at the pool. My only form of exercise besides the odd casual walk in the past 4 weeks, and tonight I got in 50 laps. The most I have ever done.  It felt amazing and I could feel some of those endorphins I get from running. It made me want to come home and hop on that treadmill. Soon Kalinda Soon. 3 weeks tomorrow and I have my 13 week ultrasound. It can't come soon enough.
