Garden Harvest

This year the Garden harvest was decent. Our beets and pumpkins were the Crown Jewels this year. Honorable mention goes to the carrots,  zucchini, potatoes peas and beans.

We grew about 40 pumpkins and the kids were able to sell most of them and add to their savings accounts.

10 yr old, What???

Time continues to show no mercy. As we all get older Wade has joined the double digit age club.

It’s hard to believe he is 10. We are very proud of Wade and how he has grown.

He currently has a great love for baseball and you can find him wearing baseball attire, talking about baseball, throwing baseballs, watching baseball.

He has a major talent for running and has achieved some outstanding results for his age category. He can do the 5K in just over 21 minutes. He has brought home a-lot of hardware over the last 2 yrs showcasing his talent.

Family Runs

With the running club, our kids also completed 2 additional races.

Run for the Pumpkin and the Cinnamon Bun Run.

They all did amazing and improved on their times. We are very proud of our little runners.

Fall Running Club

This fall Mom started a running club for elementary kids from grade 3-6. She had the vision that it would be nice for girls to have some activity they could do where they get away from screens and get active. Of course this was also a chance for boys to be active as well.

The vision was a complete success. She had the suport of several amazing volunteers and was able to complete a 2 day a week program.

The kids did amazing. There was some outstanding growth and commrodiry between runners and they cheered each other on and encouraged each other to do better.

Mom even received honorable mention at the elementary student assembly.

October Update

After 2months of school I am pleased to announce that the children are doing good.

Kansas has adapted to full day school pretty well. Although the wary mornings can be challenging for her, she keeps on getting up. She is learning to read and count like nobodies business

Macie has been forced to adapt a lot as well. She has had a ton of tests in all her subjects forcing her to have to learn new study habits. She has been working really hard and has seen the fruits of her labour. By waking up early and studying, and studying consistently she has maintained 100% in science. She is also got voted on student council as sports rep.

Wade is loving his new teacher and is thriving in grade five.

Mom had been a trooper as well, having to orchestrate mornings from breakfast to hair, and lunches to fashion. Mornings can be a whirl wind getting 3 kids out the door, but she never falters and having a kid like Wade makes it a lot easier  as he is pretty self sufficient.
