CAMP OUT!!!!!

So this year Mark and I had our 2nd annual camp outside under the stars on our deck with a blow up mattress, and once again we had to go in early. Last year was because of coldness and this year was because of rain, and a splitting headache I was enduring. Still fun getting it set up and lasting the 2 hours we lasted. Hopefully next year will go perfect. Except if we are keeping up with tradition we might have to come in early for some excuse. Next year will probably be because of a baby crying :))

Getting the bed ready

Lily protesting the whole idea, she thinks the bed would be much cozier.

We always bring out are mini portable DVD player and watch a movie, this year was spiderman

The family all ready for the movie

A FATHER'S DAY CARD!!!

I felt bad that my Father's Day Card never got to you so I thought I would send it through my blog. I love you Dad and hope you have a wonderful father's day.

Love Kalinda

This is one of my Favorite pictures of you Dad because it reminds me of how much our dogs love you and I know secretly you think they are adorable, even though you try to hide it.

1st Trimester!!

Was nothing like I thought it would be, but as I am nearing the end and we got to see our beautiful baby today I can't help but laugh at all the things that frustrated me in the first 3 months.

likes

-I get to have a baby
-I have an excuse to be lazy
-even though I hate that carbs made me gain more weight then I wanted it was nice not having to really hugely worry about it.
- My complexion has felt amazing.
- I get to have a baby
- finding out we might be having a boy
- wondering everyday if it is really going to be a boy or maybe it will be a girl
- buying maternity clothes
- always having something to talk about with someone, never any akward moments where you don't know what to talk about.
- I get to have a baby

dislikes

- being scared everyday
- not being able to exercise
- fruits and veggies have been a total turn off, I have to force them down my throat.
- being sick and tired of eating carb after carb
- feeling nausea's

I am loving the idea of starting my second trimester and watching my belly grow and feeling the baby kick, finding out the gender on July 27th and being able to start to exercise again in moderation.

We'll here is the first belly shout, sorry there will never be a picture of a bare belly don't feel comfortable, so this will have to do.

NURSERY???

So this is my idea for the nursery but obviously not in a bathroom. The white wainscotting with the blue walls and black furniture. I can't decide what color to do the baby's quilt but still have lots of time to think about it. I am not naturally good at decorating so I truly want everybody's honest opinion it will not hurt my feelings. I am thinking I would like to do this weather it is a girl or boy. I am thinking the color would work for either gender, but like I said I am seriously not good at the whole decorating thing so please give me your absolute honest opinion, or maybe something you like about it but an idea that would help it look even better. I was also thinking of putting the baby's name over the crib on individual wood blocks with the letter's put on in vinyl lettering. The wood blocks would be painted white and black and the letters would be put on with a similar color blue that the wall has been painted. So the color scheme is black white's and blue's (teal). Again please help I really want the room to look cute.

MARK!!!

I am so proud of my Mark lately. He is working so hard to better himself and his career so he can be a good provider for the home. Mark was so blessed to fall into this Devon job of his and instead of taking it for granted he is finding ways to try and advance even further at his job. The past two years he was taking a course at night through the college called Gas Processing Operator or in short GPO. It was kind of boring but passed with like a 3.9 GPA. Through finishing this course A very part time job opened up at the college this year were he took the course to teach it. He applied not knowing if we even had any kind of a chance. This Tuesday the college called him and informed him he had the job and can start prepping for classes right away. Not only will this be a great opportunity for him and look great on his resume. It will help bring in a little extra income once I am not working. Mark has also started taking a Petroleum Engineer course by correspondence through NAIT this September. He was really scared and did not know if he was smart enough to pass and had the motivation to do it all on his own. He finished the first course in May and a couple of weeks ago got his final grade of 93%. It is going to probably take him 6 years to finish his Petroleum Engineer course because he can only do one course per semester, but when he is done it will give him the opportunity to have a salaried monday to friday job. I love this man so much and don't even now how to think him for everything he does for our family. The Lord has blessed me with an amazing husband and best friend.
