CONFESSION TIME

Okay it is time for a confession. I love playing with my BLOG!! I think I change the background once a week. I have come up with an excuse though, it is a bad one, but one none the less. I am on my computer almost everyday studying for school and I like to go and open my blog because I can listen to my music. We'll once I get bored of studying and since we have no cable right now I get playing around with my BLOG. I love going and checking out the backgrounds and finding which one I like the best. So I am sorry if you get sick of my background changing all the time but it is just so much fun, definitely better then studying.

I love posting pics so as it is Christmas time I thought I would post one of Mine and Mark's first Christmas Together.

ANNOYING!!!

So I have been trying to upload some fun pictures on my blog and nothing will work. It is very annoying and it better fix soon. On a more positive note I got my Snowboard the other day and I am so pumped to use it. I am also getting so pumped for Christmas. I love Christmas so much, it is without a doubt my favorite time of year, and this year my parents are coming to celebrate it with us. I must say with all the craziness going on at work, life is still pretty good. I am so blessed and sometimes don't realize it. I have a wonderful family, the sweetest puppies in the world, a beautiful house to live in, Clothes on my back and food in my belly, and most of all an amazing husband who I love so much. This is why I love Christmas time it puts things into perspective when we are complaining about such little things. Tonight is my Mark's work Christmas party and I can't wait to go have a blast and just take some time to enjoy life.

A LITTLE UPDATE

Well things in my life have been going good, bad, crazy, exciting, and so much more. I started my new job about 2 1/2 weeks ago, the day I started I found out that the girl I was going to be working with, not to mention she is the Licensed Optician was leaving and moving back to Saskatoon. That put my life in a whirlwind. Technically you can not run an Optical without there being a Licensed Optician, so my head honcho is now going to have to fly people in every week to come and work with me until I am Licensed at the end of June. These past two weeks have been so stressful, because not only do I now have to learn everything myself I have so much stress on me to pass my NACOR. I can not just think if I don't pass I can write again in January, no I absolutely have to pass. My Heavenly Father likes to watch over me though, because two things happened with my schooling this year that they have not done in the past. 1. They are letting us take our formulas into our test and 2. You can pay $40 and write a mock NACOR exam in January to prepare you for the June test. Those were the two things I was stressing about the most school wise, the exam and remembering the ten million formulas there are. So there is the good, the bad and the crazy. The exciting things happening our I have been getting awesome marks on all of my school work, Mark and I have been working hard at our tri-athalon things lately. I have not noticed a weight loss difference, but I feel so good, we have been swimming 30 laps about every 3 days. I have been walking every morning for about a hour and Mark has been running almost every night. Also that Snowboard I posted on my Christmas Wish List Blog went on sell from almost $600 dollars to $179 plust shipping so I bought it. Mark and I are so exited to go snowboarding this year with our great friends the Harkers how were the one's that found my board on sell. thank you very much. Wow anyways this Blog is getting long but just wanted to do a little update for everybody.

HALLOWEEN FUN!!!!

SO I TRY AND BE CRAFTY IN MY LIFE, BUT THERE IS OTHER NOT ENOUGH TIME, COSTS TOO MUCH MONEY, OR I AM JUST TOO LAZY. I THINK THE BIGGEST REASON IS THE MONEY, NOT THAT I DON'T HAVE IT JUST I CAN NOT JUSTIFY SPENDING A HUNDRED DOLLARS ON SOMETHING THAT WILL USUALLY BE THROWN OUT OR EATEN. SCRAPBOOKING IS THE ONE THING I WOULD SPEND THE MONEY ON BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE IT FOREVER, BUT I AM NOT THAT TALENTED AT IT SO ONCE AGAIN I CAN'T JUSTIFY IT. THE OTHER NIGHT THOUGH WELL GETTING ON THE INTERNET TO CHECK MY E-MAILS I SAW THIS COOL TREAT AND THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE SUPER EASY TO MAKE AND PROBABLY PRETTY CHEAP. SO TONIGHT I DECIDED TO MAKE THEM SO THEY WOULD BE READY FOR HALLOWEEN NIGHT, AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT AS CUTE AS THE PICTURE ON THE INTERNET, I THINK THEY TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD FOR THE FIRST TRY. I THINK I WILL MAKE THEM AGAIN NEXT YEAR, AND THEY WILL BE PERFECTION.

JUMP IN

We'll It is official I am the new manager of the Optical at Superstore. What an incredible opportunity. One of m
y good friends was phoned to interview for the position and she told the gentlemen, that she did not want the Manager position but would come and work there with one condition, if I came and worked with her. We set up an interview thinking Chandra would manage and then I would take over once I was licensed. However the gentlemen that did the interview thought it would be a good idea to have me become the Manager right away. So nervous and excited I accepted it. It is such an amazing opportunity for me. My confidence will soar, I will learn so much working with Chandra, she is an amazing optician and I hope to be as good as her one day. Financially it is a huge advantage for me and mark. I will miss my job at the Eyeware Place as I loved it there and most of the people I worked with, but know that this is to good of an opportunity to turn down. So now all I have to do is jump in and hope for the best!!!

FAMILY HOME EVENING!!!!!

We'll we though it would be fun to change things up for the night, instead of reading and studying we thought we would devote the night to our puppies, and take them to Bud Miller Park for some fun playing. The trip there proved to be not very fun as Molly threw up all over my pants. Luckily we had some wet wipes in the car and I got cleaned up. So of we went to Bud Miller Park , the dogs had a blast running up and down hills, chasing people, taking pictures and sniffing for stuff. The ride home though again proved to be very frustrating as Lily also decided to throw up this time on Mark's nice coat and sweater. I guess feeding your dogs rib bones is not a good idea. I have to say though even with all the throwing up it was a fun night, and felt good to get out of the house.

THE HUSBAND IS GETTING IN THE WAY!!!!

We'll I think my heading pretty much sums it all up for you. I am trying so hard to be strict and study every night for 2 hours and work out for an hour. Mark however is not liking this, he wants so badly for me to come in to Lloydminster with him tonight as he has a church meeting, and then afterwards go to this place called the Sticks and play some virtual golf. I want to go so bad, but I must not give into temptation. I must be firm and do my studying. So off my husband goes, with a big pouting lip, and a sad sad look on his face. Ahh he is killing me. This weekend though I plan to party it up and have some fun at a Edmonton Eskimos game.

DETERMINATION

Well it is 10:40 at night and by the time I finish this blog it will be 11:00. I am not all that tired yet, so I am sitting here contemplating weather I should pop some popcorn and watch a movie or get in my workout clothes and run on the treadmill whilel I watch a movie. As I look down at my stomach and see a tummy there that use to not be, I think I must go with option #2. It will take a lot of will power as that popcorn is calling my name, but I think I can do it. So off to get in my workout clothes and pick a movie for the night.

CRAZY LIFE

So I thought it would be fun to start a blog this year as there are 3 huge goals I would like to accomplish. I thought a blog would help me to keep track of these big goals, and my little ones to see if I am progressing and getting them accomplished. The three big ones are;
1. Finish my Optical Sciences school through Nait, so that I can become a Licensed Optician. This entitles getting over a 63% average in the course, passing my practical exam called the NACOR, and getting over 1000hrs of practicum work. wow lots to do and only a year. I know it can be accomplished thought, with hard work and determination.
2. I am starting Piano Lessons every Thursday night from 6-7, so that I can finish and teach. I have a huge love for music, and would love to teach little children one day, so then can learn to love it as much as I do. I am hoping it will only take me two years, and then I will be able to teach.
3. Mark, myself, and some friends of ours are going to be training up to run a Tri-athalon. I have never run one before, but I think it will be exciting. I let myself go these past two years, and need to get back to the way I looked when Mark and I were first married. I am hoping this Tri-athalon will help motivate me.
So yes a very busy life for myself this year, I hope I can accomplish these three goals, and also keep up with everything else I have going on, church callings, keeping up with house work, and spending time with my wonderful husband, and three adorable pets.

This pictures is a before the Tri-athalon shot, lets hope it only gets better from here

CONFUSED???

Trying to figure out this blogging thing is somewhat confusing for me, I don't know why, so this might be my only post, but hopefully I will figure it out
