Today we took a chance and headed to the mountains to do some hiking. It was a bit cold here in Magrath. The wind got really crazy the further west we went. We attempted to hie to blue lake. The wind was cutting us to the bone. Our little family pushed to the trail head and had to turn back. Approx 10 km in an out. Kansas was freezing. Her little face passed from red to white. And her legs were colder than ice. She was not a happy child. Macie and Wade were also pretty cold but they were little troopers.
We got back to the Traverse and Kansas took like half a hour to thaw out.
We pulled over to get her some food and comfort Kansas and these two horses came for visit. They ate some of our apples the kids loved the visit.
