FOOD!!!
Another fun day with our awesome fun friends. Every time we go to the Harkers (Our Best Friends we have made in Lloydminster) We are treated to a new meal we have never had before and it always turns out delicious. I am a very picky eater and have a hard time trying new things, but because I liked these guys so much I did not have the guts to not try all the cool different meals they have made for us. Well I am so glad that I did not have the guts to say no because once again I devoured a delicious meal from the Harkers. Let's see they have introduced us to Sushi, Curry, Tempura, Rice wraps ( I don't remember there real name but man were they good), the best funeral potatoes ever, and tonight Cheese fondu. I can't wait to see and taste what other delicious meals they are going to introduce us to.

CARVING FUN!!!!!
Every year I anticipate the master piece my husband is going to carve out of a big orange round pumpkin. Once again he has amazed me with his amazing pumpkin carving skills. I have attempted twice in the past and have failed miserably every time so I have decided to take on the roll of cleaning the pumpkin seeds and getting them ready for our tradition of watching a scary movie and chowing down on Halloween candy and Pumpkin Seeds. Here are some fun picks of our fun night.

BACK TO LIFE, BACK TO REALITY!!!
That is truly what I must do with my life. These past two weeks have been very strange. First week I was recovering from my 5 KM race, which considering that fact that I was running about 5 km's every other night you would not think it would take a whole week to recover. We'll when you run 958 more stairs then you are use to guess again. Then this week of work I made up the excuse to be lazy at home and in life because work was exhausting all of my energy, getting ready for the big sale. Well no more racing recovery, no more crazy 13 hours work days so I guess back to the grind. Eating Healthy, working out, reading, praying morning and night with real intent not just 2 minute prayers like I feel they have been lately to get them out of the way for the night. I can't believe what a difference two weeks makes in our lives though. I feel fat and flubby all around my stomach, I swear I have twenty more zits then usual from the unhealthy take out food I have been eating almost everyday this week and my hubby commented today that I seem grumpy lately. That would come from a lake of everything in my life these past two weeks. Conference was a great pick me up today, interesting how you feel everything the Prophet and Apostles talk about pertains to yourself. So calling Kalinda's old self, time to get back at it. I bet not even three days at it will make me feel 100 times better.

IT MADE ME LAUGH!!!!!
Today while I was on my lunch break I was reading through a magazine and happened to fall open this advertisement for Cat and Dog Food. It pretty much sums up my Animals to a tee.
He's Back! Randolph's Finally Back! (Clay the Dog)
He's almost here, He's almost here!!! (Clay the Dog)

Forgot my Keys. (Randolph the owner) Welcome Back! (Clay the Dog)
I'm not sure he technically even left. (The Cat)

It definitely had me laughing!!!!!

RACE DAY!!!!
We'll it has finally come and gone. What an incredible experience, and I am so glad I got to share it with one of my closest friends and my wonderful mother. I ended up being 14 seconds shy of my goal but was so proud for running the whole entire way without stopping, especially when there was over 950 stairs. Know I am even more motivated to run my 8 KM race in November. I am thinking I need to take a good week break though my legs are still burning from all the stairs. Here are some pics from the amazing day.

SCAR TISSUE????
I have had this scar on my hand since I can remember. I don't remember when it happened, I can remember as far back as grade 1, my first day of school when everybody in my class would ask me what happened to my hand. I have been told by my loved ones though it happened when I was about 2 years old. My parents were getting ready to catch a plane to Toronto when they heard a terrible cry coming from my sisters bedroom (at least this is how I am told the story goes) they come running into the room and see me on the ground with my hand on top of the curling iron. To little to get myself up, my hand was unfortunately fried and left with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. I find know that I am older I can go months without thinking about my Scar, I swear sometimes even years. Until some adult has the courage to ask me what happened to my hand. The Doctor I use to work for said it took him 3 months to get the courage to ask me what happened. Funny how kids ask without even a hesitation, every time I started a new year of school I knew the first couple of days would be plagued with questions about my hand and how I got that scar.
So the point to this post, I was looking at my scar today while eating breakfast and again thinking back to the last time I looked at it and thought about it and it has probably been 6 or 7 months, however almost everyday of my life I think about the inner scars I have had happen to me in life. Why can somethings that have no evidence and no constant reminder be always plaguing my mind and so painful, yet this huge scar on my hand is rarely thought about. How do we make our inner scars become like our outer scars, forgotten about and lost in our thoughts? Even though I do see my scar everyday, I am never consciously thinking about it. While my past hurts and pains I can not see but I feel everyday.

YUMMY CLAM CHOWDER!!!
It has been a while but with having the whole day off today and no where to go and nothing to do but clean my house, I thought I would take on making one of the two soups I know how to make that I have not made in a very long time.
It turned out really yummy, except a little hot as I put too much pepper in it, but all in all a great success.
I even thought it would be fun to set the table kind of romantic and surprise my hubby, I hope he likes it.

Little Answered Prayers
So to start off my post I am letting all men know to read this post at your own discression, not that I think any men read my blog but if you do, don't read this one.
Okay know for the post. So in 9 days I am going to be running my first ever race, as most of you now. The one thing I was not looking forward to was that my period was due on the exact day of the race, I have always been blessed with a wonderful period in it's consistency, every 28 days I pretty much now that succer is coming. I was dreading trying to make that 5 KM's up hill most of the way with period cramps, so I said a little prayer to my Savior asking him if there was anyway it could come sooner, please please please let it. I did lake a little faith in this prayer as I did not really think the Lord needed to really deal with something of such unimportance (is that a word?) However this wonderful afternoon of September 9th I was graced with my period 9 days early. Never thought in all my life I would be saying a thank you prayer to my Savior for blessing me with my period. Lesson learned the Lord is always listening and watching out for us no matter how big or small.
