It has truly been Mommy bliss with Macie lately. I can't lie in saying 10 months to about 15 months was definitely the hardest time I had so far as a mother, not that they were terrible, but different, and a little harder. It didn't help that Macie got sick a lot, and that it was dead of winter. I just found that stage a bit awkward, not quiet playing yet, but not content to just sit there or be snuggled. Thank goodness for swimming, McDonald's play center, and the Servus Sports Centre Fun Zone, or I might have gone mental. Things couldn't be better then ever know though and like I said truly toddler heaven right now. Not that terrible two yet, but so much fun to play with, learn with and laugh with.
Macie at 18 months
- Has Doubled her speech in the past month and is saying: puppy, kitty, mommy, daddy, up, please, come, hi, bye, ball, swimming, down, car, cheese, ouchie, uh oh, shoes, lily, molly, papa, and many more I can't think off, she repeats a lot of what we say and is putting two words together. mostly Up Please, Come Puppies, and Hi Daddy.
- She is an absolute crazy child at the swimming pool and I need to watch her 24/7 or she would literally drown herself trying to get to the deep end.
- She is scared of nothing and will try anything. I love this idea, but it terrifies me right now as she is still so little.
- Is one of the toughest kids I know and even if blood is drawn, she will barely cry and get right back to playing.
- Thinks her Daddy is the greatest person ever, and is totally and completely a Daddy's Girl.
- Loves visiting Papa and Grandma and especially loves the chocolate covered raisins they spoil her with.
- Is a picky eater, but still eats really healthy and will devour anything she loves. Her favorite is definitely cheese, but still loves her raisins and a Peanut Butter sandwich. Also Greek Yogurt and blueberries. She will not eat any kind of meat so I pump her full of Vemma Bode shakes to give her her omega's and protein. Will still eat the occasional home made baby food, so I try and sneak in chicken or fish there and some brown rice or quinoa.
- Playing Outside is her favorite past time and she especially loves going on the swing and collecting rocks.
- Has started to really get good at coloring and painting.
- Has some pretty adorable long blonde hair, that I love to put in ponytails, pigtails, and scrunch up in moose and let it go curly.
- She hates getting her teeth brushed and cries everyday I do it.
- Loves reading books and playing with her puzzles, and is exceptionally good at puzzles.
- Is not an over affectionate little girl but still will give us a good hug and kiss every night before bed, and the odd time during the day.
- folds her arms when we are saying prayers and has started to say AM at the end not quite amen.
- Plays really good buy herself, but also really good with other kids. Has the odd time when she decides she does not like someone and will not play with them and even gets a little territorial.
- Has a great laugh, and is crazy tickilish.
- Is super Photogenic but hates her picture being taken.
- Is a little sensitive and would rather hurt herself, then get in trouble. She gives the best sad face when her feelings are hurt and it just breaks your heart.
Overall this girl is pretty darn amazing. I love her more and more everyday and still sometimes go in and get her when she is sleeping and bring her to my bed and snuggle with her cause, I just can't get enough of her. I am so excited to be done work next week and have a good 3 1/2 months with her before the baby comes. Life as a mommy is bliss right now, and can't get enough of my little Munchkin.
Seeing as she wouldn't take any pics for me, I decided to post a bunch of my favorite throughout the past 8 months, and some ones that I know didn't make it to the blog. Unfortunately they are not all in order and I can't seem to fix it.

Collecting Rocks!!!!
Such a little tomboy my Macie is. She loves going to the park and throwing rocks in the lake and today she spent a good hour collecting rocks for her bucket. It was cute how once the bucket got to heavy she would carry it for 2 seconds then give it to me to carry.

The Lloydminster Petting Zoo
It is nothing in comparison to the Calgary Zoo, but for $14 for the family it is well worth it, especially when you get such great smiles out of the little munchkin. Her favorite animal were the little chicks, but was also into the Macaw. She had pretty big smiles when she got to feed the baby Calf and the Goats, and was fascinated by the Monkeys playing on there swings. It was definitely a success and a great family date night.
SPRINKLER TIME!!!!
We'll this girl is definitely a fish and loves the water, the sprinkler however was a different story, mind you the water is freezing cold. She was brave enough to walk up to it, but once she felt the cold on her she would just stand there and fuss and want me to come get her. So we changed our venue and filled her homemade water station with water and played with the toys. I am hoping once the weather gets crazy hot and she gets even more brave she won't even bat an eye and running threw it.

HALF WAY THERE!!!!
It is funny how with this baby I have not been as up to date on posts, pictures, and blogging about the pregnancy. 1. because life is crazy busy right now, 2. because this pregnancy has sucked, 3. because I Feel like a whale everyday and don't really want pictures taken of me. I finally took one today though and will muster up the courage to post it, but only because it was kind and did not make me look as big as I am. However with being half way to meeting this baby, and yes baby is all I can say for now as I was strong and didn't find out the gender of the baby at the ultrasound today. YAY!! GO ME!! I decided it was finally time to write a little bit about it, I will warn readers most of it will not be nice. The first trimester was poppy and although I was never horrificly sick I felt gross everyday. Then came the 2nd trimester and if it is not stretching pains, it is braxton hicks. Remember how with Macie I was sad that I never craved anything ,well with this little one I crave the world. I have the biggest appetite I have ever had in my life and that is scary because I am already a big eater to begin with. Nothing is truly satisfying yet I feel the need to keep eating to try and satisfy my cravings. I could eat Pizza every single day of my life and I think I will probably have more slurpees this summer then I have had in my whole entire life. One nice thing is that I started feeling baby kick around 16 weeks, and feel it kick everyday now. Also I am so glad Vemma came into my life right now because it is making life go by so fast that I don't think about being pregnant as much as I did with Macie which is making this pregnancy fly by even with it being a lot worse then it was with Macie. I tell Mark that this little munchkin better be a good sleeper because it is already -1 in best baby category. :) Well there she be and unless things start looking up with this pregnancy you probably wont see another post about it for another 10 weeks, or maybe when I am posting pics of the new little one. I will say I am super excited to have not found out and can't wait for the surprise of pushing out the baby and finding out what we are having.
