After 5 visits to her family doctor and eye doctor it is so nice to finally have answers to Macie's eye. This morning when I woke up this is what my daughters eye looked like.
So I finally told myself this is it I am going to see Dr. Z and get this fixed. The second he saw her he said I am sending her to see an Opthamologist, by fluke he was in town today. We went over right away to see Dr. Okeefe and after seconds of seeing her he knew it was a blocked tear duct. So now all we can do is wait and hope it clears up on its own. If by the time she is one it is not fixed then off to a Pediatric Opthamologist we go for surgery.

PERKS!!!
There are definitely some perks about having a hubby that works with an oil company, and this whole entire week proved that. It started on Wednesday with a Shrimp Fest at Champion. They had the Shrimp brought in fresh and anybody could come and devour as much shrimp as they wanted, being a huge shrimp lover my husband got me on the band wagon and we headed to Champion's office after a quick tour at the Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show to stuff our faces with some of the best shrimp I have ever had. That evening we got Jeff and Faith to watch Macie while we headed to a dinner and comedy show put on by Baker Oil. And this evening we got VIP tickets to see George Canyon at the Exhibition grounds. He was putting on a benefit concert for the Lloydminster Youth Center and Devon was a huge corporate sponsor, meaning they were given some free tickets with VIP seating. It was so much fun and Mr. Canyon put on an amazing show. However the best part of it all was that everything was free. $45 was spent this whole entire week. $20 we donated to the Youth Center and $25 to pay the babysitter for tonight.

THE GRAND TOUR!!!
Well here it is, the house is in no way ready and all set up, but I thought if I didn't do it now I might never get around to posting pics. The whole entire house is eventually going to be re-painted. The next painting projects will be the Orange wall in the family room/ dinning room area. I am going to paint it a deep red. Then the Master bedroom and bathroom, then hopefully the spare bedroom in the basement. We will probably take a break for a while after that and pay someone to paint the rest of the house so it looks really good and professional.
So here it is, in all it's messy disorganized glory.

BIRTHDAYS, BIRTHDAYS AND MORE BIRTHDAYS!!
This month is such a special one it's birthday time for me, and Hakon, and Russell, and Royall, and Rhonda, and Dani and Brock and Colton and Abbie, and Annika and Uncle Bob and Uncle Jeff and Vanessa and I am sure I have missed someone. Maybe it is because it is my birthday month that I remember more people who share this month with me, but seriously it seems like there are a lot of friends and family with September Birthdays. So For my B-Day we did a quick trip to my parents house to visit and then headed to Barrhead to celebrate Mark's Aunt Rhonda and "Uncle" Mark's 50th Birthday. It was quick but fun and full of tons of good food. Macie was a lucky girl and got to see all of her Grandparents this weekend as Vickie made the trek up to Barrhead for the Birthday Bash. I forgot to get pics at the birthday party but will post a few we took in Ponoka.

BAND CONCERT!!!!
Today me and Macie had our first Band Concert. We had so much fun banging on all the pots and pans and singing some of her favorite songs. Like A Smile goes a long long way, skinermarink, rockin robin, splish splash and of course if your happy and you know it.
after about 15 minutes it eventually turned into lets pick the pots up and play with them. |
